Edit:
As Carnival charge in AUD, I would assume that there would be no foreign currency conversion fee, but confirmation would be greatly appreciated. -
Hi all,
Does anyone know if Carnival charge a credit card fee for onboard transactions? Previously I've used debit cards on other lines, but I am looking to use a credit card this time.
Also, as it is an American line, does anyone know if foreign transaction fees apply for those credit card which charge them? Or do they process payments in Australia.I'm cruising on the Spirit next month, which will be my first cruise with CCL. Thanks!

There are certainly studio (solo) cabins on the Ovation, however there are not many of them.
I wasn't sure if there was a lounge for studio cabins (as some lines have), though. -
Hi all.
Does anyone know if there's a studio lounge on board the Ovation of the Seas? And has anyone cruised in a studio (single) cabin?
Thanks

Hi all. Weird question.
Unfortunately my partner and myself have split. We are booked to go on the Pacific Dawn in 2 weeks.
Everything is paid in full, but I was wondering if I should let P&O know. Does anyone know if there will be any penalty? I assume not, as her fare is paid, and it would therefore be the same as the single supplement.
Any help would be great.

Room service menu is free - including lunch and dinner.
Is this true for all ships? I'm cruising on the Dawn in 2 weeks in a suite and can't find any info about this. Is the entire room service menu free 24 hours?
Thanks!

We have been in a suite on Pacific Dawn and we really enjoyed it.
This might sound like a silly question, but do suite guests have different coloured cruise cards?

Sea sickness: If you're prone to motion sickness, metoclopraminde (maxolon) is the best preventative and treatment. It's an S4 medication, so you need a prescription.
Sweetp12: You mention WiFi is worse than dial up. Does this mean I have no hope of streaming the footy??

Hi all. Does anyone know what The Pantry is like for vegetarians? My partner is vegetarian. Traditional cruise buffets have been fine for her in the past, but The Pantry seems to have less variety.
Cheers

Hi all,
It's been a long time (almost 9 years) since I've cruised with P&O. I was wondering if it's possible to connect external devices (cameras, portable hard drives etc.) to the TV's. Does anyone have experience with this? I would like to bring a portable hard drive so I can watch movies and not rely on the DVD player in the room.
Thanks!

I can't answer the question for you, but I'd like to know also (have booked a suite for 19th May).

Thanks for the replies everyone. I should have specified ocean view balcony as that's the GTY I'm looking to book. Location isn't that important to me, so the only thing that would be a let down would be an obstructed view.

Hi all.
Apologies if this has been answered. I searched but could not find anything.
I'm looking to book a balcony GTY on the Harmony for June. I was just wondering if there were any obstructed views. Location does not bother me. I have previously sailed on the Oasis and cannot recall finding any information about obstructed views on her.
Cheers

I realise you may not be able to answer this, but do you know if any of the balconies are obstructed? I'm looking at a balcony GTY.

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked already (I've thoroughly checked other posts). I was wondering if anyone knew if this list:
http://www.cruisingpoweruk.co.uk/uploads/news-product_19_256722736.pdf
is applicable to current Voyager of the Seas sailings out of Australia.
I'm mainly interested in Oban, Lagavullin and Talisker whiskeys (and the aluminium bottled beers). Any idea if these are available? I think I had the aluminium bottled beers on the Radiance ex-Sydney a few years ago but can't remember!
Cheers.

Hi all. Thought I'd share some shots from 2 years ago.

Does anyone know much about Premier cruises from Australia? From what I understand, they are a new offering. I'm mainly interested to know if the DOU is included from Australia, as most things differ here.
