At the Manhattan cruiseport members of the Laborers International Union have worked on Sundays on occasion .They were not longshoremen
Not once in this post did I reference Manhattan. I have no first hand knowledge of the Manhattan terminal but I do have first hand knowledge of the Bayonne terminal. We don't need to go back and forth any longer.

That was my perception
For a variety of reasons people don't always retire at 68. I know my husband (in a different trade) works with people in that age group. Some want to work until they die, some have an ex they don't want to pay out on retirement, some are on their second marriage and have kids in college to pay. I could go on but just because you can retire -- doesn't mean everyone does.
It also doesn't make the fact that the baggage handlers are longshoremen not true.

Are longshoremen not allowed to be over 70?
Right? I'm confused. Because of his age, or the appearance of what you believed to be his age - he couldn't possibly be a longshoremen?

My husband works for the same company as the baggage handlers at Bayonne and they are well paid union employees. I am Not saying don't tip, but don't feel obligated to make up the difference in their salary.

And how much on average is an iced coffee without the card?

I got the email directly. (Not a TA) I'm happy with this. Still sad to miss Nassau but good with this.

On the 11/12 sailing and I very much wish we were skipping Florida and still going Nassau.

Also on the Nov 12 sailing. I would’ve loved to go to Nassau but I’m ok with it. They gave us 2 extra hours at port Canaveral but we arrive at 6am now instead of noon. Which doesn’t help anyone.
no credit for the missed stop. -
Anthem sailing from NJ Nov. 2023 - lowest I've seen is 9.99

Pre-Covid it was worth it for us to get a cabana at the waterpark as 6 entries into the park are included. It gave everyone a home base and was a great place to escape the sun.

Going to answer my own question. I called RC and they picked a room for me that has a sofa. Not a sofa bed, just a sofa. I'll believe it when I see it in Nov!! Anyways we are booked!

Good Morning Cruisers - dh and I are looking to book a cruise in the fall on Anthem.
I'd like to be in the interior stateroom with the couch, as the interior staterooms for 2 are tiny.
Looks like from fiddling around on Royals website, the couch rooms are only offered when there more than 2 guests.
Is there any way to get this room traveling with just 2? Am i better off letting them chose the room?
Thanks!

There are quite a few rental places just a few miles away. My husband dropped off our whole group and luggage and then went to return and shuttle back. Worked great.

For the Thrill Park Cabanas? That’s a great price!
Yup! I thought so too! Since it includes the 6 park passes for our full party as well.

Paid $399 - Mariner - sailing late Sept.
It's now listed in the cruise planner at $379 but I've seen it at $499 as well.

Hi everyone
While I'm not a new cruiser, I haven't cruised in 9 years!
Whats the best way to book and get the most for my money.
I'm noticing if you book through an agent..************ etc. there are incentives regarding onboard credit and percentages off. Any negtives to going this route?
Thanks!

This is the itinerary change for this weeks sailing and I know for sure next week (mine). They eliminated Nassau and changed times at Canaveral.
