  1. Would not tear the patch.

what has worked for me, is I put the patch on a few hours prior to sailing.

I then take off that evening of first day..  Enough of the drug has gotten in to help withstand any motion sickness feeling when first on the ship.  Most people's body's equilibrate within that first day.

I then take the patch off and enjoy rest of cruise.

More than the dizziness is the eye dilatation which is weird that first day

  2. We're scheduled for a 130pm arrival/boarding time.  I know what the website says: "Guests who arrive outside of their scheduled arrival time will delay their boarding".

However, for those who have sailed recently, what is the reality if you do arrive early?

Depending on how traffic goes, we could potentially arrive at noon.  So just wondering if we can board then, or will we have to sit around at the terminal in Jersey before we are allowed to board?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jay

  3. Hello experts.

We have 7 in our group and all have chosen My Time Dining.  I was under the impression that you just show up between 645pm and 9pm and get seated.

I happened to be playing around the app just now, and see that I can "reserve"  my-time dining now....however, all that is left is 8:15 or 8:30pm onwards for every night.

Did we "Royally" screw up and miss our opportunity to book at our preferred time which is closer to 7pm?

OR......is there still flexibility and you can show up to the dining room anytime during 645 and 9?

Appreciate any expert thoughts on how this works.

    Thanks!

  4. Thanks everyone for your replies.  Wow, lot of comments regarding obesity and over-eating.  My family is pretty fit and eat clean and balanced.  I just remember the festive environment with the pretty exotic and impressive chocolate and ice sculptures and was looking forward to having my kids see that.

To be honest, didn't really remember any gluttonous folks but clearly I have a selective memory and likely  just remember the good parts.  (Last RCL cruise was 2012?).

Island Lady above mentions that they do something like in WindJammer.  That would be nice to see if they still do that.

    Take care folks,

  5. Good Day Fellow Cruisers.  Have not been on RC for over 8 years.  Prior to that had gone on 3 RC cruises.

We used to love the midnight chocolate parties and ice sculpture parties.

Does RC still do that?  We're sailing on the Oasis in a few weeks and quite excited.

    Thanks for any input,

  6. Spent hours going through the various message threads here seeing what many of the mixed drink cocktail selections are and what is popular.

What I would like guidance with is regarding "best Bar/Lounge/Counter" to get these great mixed drinks from.

I'm going on the Liberty next week. I'm planning on getting the ULtimate Package.

My main drinks will be mixed cocktails (margaritas/mojitos), and glasses of scotch. Would like to know the best Bar or Lounge areas to get these from. Any good spots which are less crowded than others? What is the best bar areas are there on the pool deck sides? Our room is on the 2nd deck (Family ocean stateroom)....are there are any bars near me? Best place to get a glass of single malt scotch as part of my UP? Also for the kiddos...where is the best place to get the Mocktails?

    thanks for any guidance!!

  7. We have 4 adults, 2 kids aged 12 and 9, and 3 kids under age 4.

    Itinerary:

Dockyard to Gibb's Lighthouse: 4 adult tokens/2 child tokens

Gibbs to Horseshoe: 4 adult tokens/2 child tokens

Horseshoe back to dockyard: 4 adult tokens/2 child tokens

So total: 12 adult tokens and 6 child tokens

and the 3 little ones are free....

    Correct??

    Thank you for any guidance.

also....can you walk from gibbs to horseshoe?
