Saint Greg I’ve really enjoyed following your cruise and have shared the Carnival Fun Times, menus and some of your suggestions with our Aug. 9 - 16 group. I was told the Carnival would be participating in the Seattle Port Valet Luggage Service by your sailing date. I don’t see that option mentioned in your debarkation letter so I guess they’re still working things out with the Port of Seattle. Have you heard anything on board about a possible start date.

For the steakhouse, make sure you all book for the same time, then once onboard go see the host(ess) and they will accommodate you.
Thanks

We have several couples who's bookings aren't tied together who would like to do the Chef's Table & Steakhouse together on the same evening. Since we're all pre-purchasing both prior to our cruise how do we get assigned to the same day and night for each? One person in our group was told to contact Customer Services and was told we'd have to do that onboard which I know isn't going to work well. On a past cruise I had to do something similar and was given the email address for the Maitre d and told to email him 3 weeks prior to our sailing date. Any advise on how it's done now???

At a mere 80 pts, you hit diamond and they add 4 drink vouchers a day to your account. 5 for diamond plus and 6 for pinnacle.
Thanks. I guess we’ll need to sail RC a little often

They serve liquor which has had TX taxes paid on it, until they are far enough out.
Thanks

My liberty was down to $43 a day. That's about as good as I've seen it. I think fewer are booking the pkg now with the free vouchers being anywhere, anytime.
Free Vouchers???? Just where do you get those and how do you qualify? Most of our 19 cruises have been on Carnival. March, 2022 is only our 3rd RC cruise.

I’m sure I’m not the first to ask but I can’t seem to find a thread that addresses how the Deluxe Beverage Package works when sailing out of Galveston, Tx. I’ve read that Carnival doesn’t start their drink package until day 2 due to Texas law. How does RC handle their drink package on day 1 out of Texas?
PS. What’s a good pre-Cruise price for the Deluxe Beverage Package?

Thanks John&LaLa. That's what I assumed but it's nice to have confirmation.

We currently receive many casino perks and offers from other cruise lines but haven't sailed RCL for over 10 years so will be staring from scratch on casino points. I found a list of RCL points & perks you earn with those points from an online search. My question is as follows. Do your casino perks start as soon you hit each level or do you have to wait until your next cruise to receive those perks? Example: If you earn enough points on day two of your cruise to receive the free drinks while playing in the casino will they flag your sign & sail card to receive the free drinks right away?

Can anyone help with my original question above?

Prior to some of our past Carnival cruises I’ve received email discount offers on Spa Services, Photo Packets, Shore Excursions and Internet Connections if purchased by ????? date. My question is this. Has anyone received discount offers on advanced purchase of the Carnival Drink Package?
I already know there’s a discount built in for purchasing the Drink Package prior to boarding. What I’m looking for here is if they offer anything better than that.

If you dock at the Naval Annex/Outer Mole, you will ride a shuttle to Mallory Square. If you dock a Pier B, you will just walk to Mallory Square. OTT stop 1 is there
Thanks for your help.

Can the Cruise Critic family tell me what the difference is between booking the Old Town Trolley through Carnival is vs booking it online through the Old Town Trolley website? If you book it through Carnival do they take you to the trolley stop or do you just find you way there on your own?

Thanks for your help

I just rented a cabana for Half Moon Cay. The rental includes 4 people but the Carnival site says you can add two more for a surcharge. I don't see anyway to add the other two or find out how much the surcharge is. Can anyone help?

Does anyone know if it's possible to download a Carnival Shore Excursion Brochure and from where?

Our Nov 12, 2017 sailing said sold out for months prior to our cruise. A few opened up one at a time within a week of two of final payment being due. They then opened up a bunch at about 45 days out.
It's based on the number of Diamond & Platinum members who are booked on your sailing. They have a limited capacity of rooms & luggage they can process for instant cabin access and expedited luggage. Once they see how many Diamond & Platinum rooms they'll need to get ready they'll sell the remaining capacity as FTTF.

There's another thread from another poster who booked a suite and his post was dated April. He stated that he received a letter from Carnival telling them about the $1.00 increase in the gratuity rates as of Sept. 1. It also stated that their suite perks would now include Priority Tendering, Free Bottle Water and Enhanced Turndown Service on top of the other suite perks they already had. I just read that thread a few days ago and have been looking for confirmation ever since.
That would add one more FTTF perk but would not add the Priority Luggage, Access to your cabin or dedicated line at guest services.
Truth be told, the first time we purchased a suite FTTF was new and things we were confused. We thought the suite purchase included access to our room so just dropped off and unpacked our carry-ons and went to lunch. We came back 3 hours later and our luggage was there. We saw our room steward while we were in the cabin and I tipped him a $20 to get my an extension cord for me C-Pap and add an egg crate pad to our bed. He said nothing about us not having access to the room yet.

I read in a post a few days ago that they've changed the suite perks and added a few things. I've been searching for confirmation of this ever since.

I'm not sure why the original poster just received the letter about the $1.00 increase. We originally booked in March and paid the gratuity up front so were exempt from the increase. When we upgraded to a suite in June we lost our exemption and had to pay the increase.
We're gold members so already get a bottle of water each plus I purchased a case of the small bottles from Carnival that we'll take with us on port days. It looks like we now get another free bottle of water with our suite so I think we'll be well hydrated.

I agree with mrsfuzzmo, pay the extra for the tour. The companies who run the water taxis are also contracted to do the tendering for the cruise lines. if there's more than one ship in port during your visit they'll pull taxis off their regular schedules to use as tenders. Pay the extra amount to have a dedicated ride back.

Sorry, I know this should be asked on the port of call section of the board but I'm not seeing any discussion on the subject after the initial post just after Hurricane Earl. Does anyone have any update on Caye Caulker or Belize in general. Hurricane recovery related clean up.

WiFi Package question. Saint Greg we’ve pre-purchased the Social WiFi Package for our August Splendor sailing. I believe I’ve seen that you’re buying the WiFi daily as you go. Is that correct and is there an advantage? Also, how is the WiFi on board?
