  1. Hi all! Our two boys are six years apart. On the first cruise we did on the Breeze, our youngest was having issues about trying the camp and being left "alone". At that time, even at home, he didn't like to be alone in another room without the rest of the family. He always needed to know we were there and that he was safe and secure. The counselors let the little one go and find his big brother if he needed him. I think the two groups were connected by a doorway. Soon enough our little guy made new friends in his own group and had a great time with no issues. Now his older brother hangs at the teen club or roams the ship with newly made friends during the day. Our youngest couldn't care less and now enjoys the kids club so much that we have to beg him to leave! Just explain your situation to the club counselors and I'm sure they'll try their best to accommodate. Hope this helps. Happy cruising! Bill.

  2. Bill,

    Thank You,

How to do get to the hotel from airport. do that have a shuttle?

How do you get to the ship from there?

They don't have a shuttle. Cab is around 20-25.00 if I remember correctly. Cab to port is about 15.00 depending on what way you go. We have also taken the train from the airport to the hotel. I believe it is the orange route south. It's 2 or 3.00 per person. Get off at brickell station and walk a block and a half to the hotel. You can go on the Miami- dade website and see all the info you need. Hope this helps. Happy cruising!! Bill

  3. Where does everyone stay in Miami. We were looking to fly in a ay early for our cruise on the Escape. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank You in advance.

Stayed a couple times at Hampton Miami/brickell. Also booked again for our trip in February. Clean, convenient, well run, etc.etc.etc.... food, shopping, grocery within walking distance. Metro rail and metro mover station about a block away. Imho, don't need to stay anywhere else. Hope this helps. Happy cruising!! Bill.

  4. Just wanted to update all on the new Cheers program as we just got off the Glory on Saturday March 12. We pre-purchased it at the $49.99 a day price. So it included all alcoholic drinks up to $50.00 per drink, we asked around at almost all of the bars there is not a drink over around $12.00. One of the bartenders said he thought there was some wine that was $20.00 per glass, however we never found it. You cannot get double shots and it count as one drink, I even tried to order a Angry Orchard with a fireball shot and it counted as 2. You cannot do the tubes, buckets, or shooters with the Cheers as it has always been.

With that being said the addition of the vitamin waters, specialty coffees, coconut water are a really nice addition and we took full advantage of that. The only place to get any of those are at the coffee bars none of the other bars or restaurants have them. You can get a bottle of water just about anywhere which is also included. You do have to wait 5 minutes in between anything with the exception of the water, you can order a bottle of water with your drink (they must figure you need it!)

All in all it was worth it for us before the additions so this was a nice extra to go along however I do not understand why they raised the by the drink limit so high unless they are getting ready to really raise the prices in the future. I will be more than happy to answer any other questions anyone has.

    Thanks

Was just on the breeze. You can order a shot of Hennessy paradis at the steakhouse for 60.00... I did not. Hope this helps. Bill.

  5. After looking over my packing list it dawned on me I'm bringing alot of electrical items on. Between the eReader, laptop, tablet, 2 cameras, I'm wondering what to do when I'm outside the room. Do I leave things charging out in the open or should I lock them up in my luggage? I've cruised before multiple times but only brought a camera which I kept with me everywhere I went.

    What does everyone else do?

And no, leaving it isn't an option.

If you're worried about your room steward stealing your stuff---don't. We've left all kinds of stuff laying in the room and never had a problem. All the steward would need is someone accusing them of theft. They aren't usually going to take the risk of losing their job and being put off the ship. I won't say it's not ever going to happen; but I don't worry too much about it. Happy cruising! Bill

  6. Just a general question. After reading the Eligant Night dress code from Carnival, how many men actually go through all the trouble and actually wear a Tuxedo?

Used to bring a nice suit for elegant night. For years. I don't anymore. I'm on vacation...... Bill.

  7. Just finished my online order for Cheers. Also got bottomless bubbles for kids. Now the final countdown to "Breeze March 6th" is underway...... I am so ready to gather my sheep and get the flock on the ship!!!!!! Happy cruising to all!! Bill

  8. I have looked on the threads and on Carnival's web site, but I am trying to confirm whether the vista suites on deck 4 on the Legend have two separate rooms or just two separate areas. In other words, is there an actual door between the sitting area and the bedroom (so I don't have to hear the TV my DH loves to keep on all the time) if I want to escape to the other area to read.

Two separate areas. Although there may be a pocket door, I forget. Best cabin on the ship with the best balcony!!!!! Enjoy! Bill.

  9. We have a cloud 9 room booked for our upcoming breeze cruise. Rm 12023. Same exact cabin as last cruise. Great, quiet location. We have kids and the waterworks is right out the end of the hall on deck 12. Really convenient. Serenity area is right above which makes an easy trip to the bar... Can also use the showers in the spa if someone else is using the one in the cabin. Great area to be in. Enjoy!!!! Bill

  10. Just got back from the Breeze but don't have pictures of the bar menu's. Are you looking for prices or what drinks they offer. I recall pricing on many of the drinks so I can help you there if that is what you are after

Really anything you can recall would be great. I have a bar menu from 2 years ago; but wondered how many changes there are. Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated!! Bill.

  11. I know this is a stupid question, but you never know....since the upgraded package is now available as of March 2, I am assuming that the coffees, water and soda do not count towards your 15 maximum drink....I do believe it doesn't but like to hear confirmation because it doesn't state that where I read about the upgraded cheers program. Thank you.

If there is no alcohol in it, the beverage doesn't count towards the 15. Hope this helps. Bill

  12. We are sailing on the Breeze....staying in a Spa cabin on Deck 12. How far away is the closest bar and what hours is it open?

Additionally, what bar options do we have later in the evening if we want to enjoy a cocktail on the balcony?

Serenity bar is closest. Go forward through the spa and take the spa elevator all the way up. Go out around the corner and the bar is right there. Have fun. Bill.

  13. if I am not mistaken, the new cheers program will allow any drink up to $50.

so I am quite sure that the grey goose dirty martini will be allowed in the new program no matter what the cost

I'm still not so sure the 50.00 is a misprint and meant to be 15.00. There just aren't any drinks that expensive on Carnival. At least up until now. I'm on the Breeze in 10 days. Can't wait! Bill.
