When we bought our All Inclusive shortly after embarkation in SFO, Princess made a point of telling us that the charge wouldn't appear on our account until we were in international waters - that way we wouldn't pay taxes.......and they were true to their word :D
Thank you, that is a big help. Since our cruise is at sea the first 2 days we will take full advantage of this, CHEER'S

We are doing a 10 day (Caribbean) out of FLL on the Royal in late Jan.
I will need to collect more info before I purchase.
-
We will be getting the unlimited drink plan, but, is it better to purchase the plan before the cruise or get it onboard? a friend has been told by Princess to get it onboard because its cheaper. Anyone done this with Princess??

We are on a cruise soon and will have a bottle of wine each, plus 2 more bottles and have no problem with the $15 fee per bottle over 2. That said, if we buy any wine( 1 bottle each) at a port in Hawaii can we take that wine back to our cabin or will they hold until the end of the cruise?
Also do you need to have your bottle of wine in your carry-on only ?

We only plan on going to 2 wineries, Encuentro Guadalupe and Lechuza Vineyards, with plans to stop at a trendy restaurant near Lechuza.
-
Any help here would help, we will be in Ensenada in mid Apr. on the last leg of our 15 day Hawaii cruise and want to take our own tour of the Guadalupe valley wineries in a taxi, any guesses on the cost of a taxi for about 4 hours??

Not true. Was in a GV and our Butler delivered according to our preferences, including course by course.
We have had the GV on the Star and service is far more superior then in any other suite on the ship. For 6 of us we ordered for from 3 different restaurants , our butler and his helpers had everything on the patio at the same time. Our butler was the now Concierge John d souza.

It is still being used. The Jewel was the only cigar bar with an unusable design.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk - Jim
We were on the Jewel in Aug. the old cigar room was next to Le bistro.
-
The Sky bar on the Jewel was a great place to burn a fatty, there was between 4 and 8 at times lighting up and having conversation, no bother to anyone.
We are on the Dawn in Jan. and I see the have The Havana Club on deck 6, I hope its still being used?
-
The jogging track does not go over the top of this suite.
If you listen, you might hear a chair being dragged across the deck from above. Nothing to wake you up early in the morning but there is some occasional, light noise.
Thanks, we have been in most suites and wanted to give this one a try, first time on the Dawn, we have been on the Star twice, before the remodel.
-
Is there a issue from the jogging track? or bar? or does it not go over these cabins.

We changed to #12522, my PCC loves me for changing plans all the time, and if the price drops, i'm getting the lower price.
-
thanks everyone, we took #12520 it was a added $350 upgrade, but we got another $200 OBC ( now at $600) for the cruise. I don't think the sun tanners on deck 13 will be a issue looking down on our balcony.
-
We are looking to change from our Aft. suite to a SD in Jan. the cost is near the same, any guess on the best one to pick? we don't want a balcony that has odd shapes to it, from what I have seen is the 2nd and 3rd cabins from the front look the best.
-
I have received all my cruise credits form all my cruises, but from upsells, they only give points from what you booked, not what you have been upsold to.
All my upsells were from a balcony to suites and some I had booked over 9 months in advance, I tried to get points for them and they said No, I feel I could have had an extra 42 points or more.

On Epic recently, received a packet containing all the Platinum benefit info. The laundry coupon specified a free bag of laundry on Thursday...The laundry special for the ship was Wednesday, but the Platinum coupon said only Thursday was free. so we waited until Thursday morning to bag up our laundry. I was returned, clean and pressed, on Friday evening, just in time to pack for Saturday disembarkation...
I'd have rather had the free laundry sooner, but it was free...can't complain, can I?
We did the same thing, but they don't always bring your laundry bag or list, so you have to ask for it or get it yourself.

I like the new Latitudes, but the 9 month in advance booking needs some work. when you first book you get a booking # if you change anything in your booking inside 9 months of you cruise do you get a new booking # or is it the same as your original booking? I don't think if NCL offers you an upgrade or upsell less then 9 months before your cruise that you should lose you extra points.

Yes' date=' they will have sales. But, you no doubt will find better prices in most of the ports you visit.

But are those REAL watches?
There have been posts about counterfeit cigars, how about counterfeit watches? it does happen.
-
you could stay in one of the suites that are now there.
-
How many luggage tags does NCL send you with your welcome aboard kit? 6 or 8 tags for two people, use it or lose it. We have had as many as 5 bags + 2 carryons + 2 backpacks, two bags are for our scuba gear. We check it all in but our backpacks.

After all flights are booked (if needed) all hotel res.(if needed) and final payment has been made, then it's time to be GIDDY
-
I'm always giddy about my next cruise's, after my last one and knowing i still have two more booked, can't wait for the next two and could book one more in between them.

I made the same post a few weeks ago, has anyone had a chance to try this upgrade from a inside to a mini suite? Not sure if it's 900 or 1000 points the first 100 seems to be a big ??

All guests must be on board one hour prior to sailing
I really don't plan on getting on the ship after 1:30 since we are on "M"deck and will be checking out of our total about 11am we will need to go someplace. This reminds me of checking onto an airplane, group 1, group 2 and on, people just stand near the gate and get in the way.
