Anybody hear anything yet on the 2 sept Mariner cruise?

Does Royal provide any type of shuttle service from the dock to the island?

I just opened it, signed in, ask for my reservation(Oasis 10/27) said too far out try again at a closer date. before it was updated it would only show the current & next 2 sailing for select ships which I think were Enchantment, Serenade, Allure & Oasis.

Does anyone have or know where to get a copy of the 7 day menu..thanks

I see the FOS is late departing again, sure hope what ever is broke gets fixed before our cruise in sept.

APDMOM, thanks for taking time to write the most informative review that I have read on these boards in a long time.

"The terminal one construction camera has been removed by the contractor who built the terminal. This camera was part of their construction contract and once the work was completed, the camera was removed. "

I responded by asking them to consider putting it back up:)

Thanks for the info, I wonder if PTZtv would consider moving their camera from fishlips to another location that would show terminal 1 activity as well as the other terminals.

Does anybody know if the PC termnal 1 construction webcam has been shutdown for good, I have not been able to open it since sunday.

There will just be 2, at least that was all on the 11/15 9 day cruise.

We reached the 210 point mark on the Explorer last month(15th), in fact we were given a certificate at the top tier event, told the block would be mailed/Fedex...still waiting..

Jim, what time were you trying to embark? What time did you leave the CI&S - which I assume should be a short trip under normal circumstances. What time did you actually join the arrival lines?

I live very close, and will be dropped off, I'm thinking maybe 12:30, 1-ish should be calmer.

 

Food is low on my list of reasons to cruise, so I am not one who needs to bolt immediately up to the buffet to eat and wait for the cabin.

I do prefer, however, to not stand in line for 3 hours to check.

We left the Country Inn on the 11AM shuttle because of backup traffic we didn't get to Terminal 10 until noon, I heard that the traffic eventually backed all the way to Cocoa Beach, however this was the exception not normal.

I would like to think that this was a unusual event we have done many cruise out Of PC and we always come down the day before then take a hotel shuttle to the ship pretty much the same time frame(11-11:30) never had the delay happen...Jim

If some one could please give me some info about the 11/15 Explore sailing. I have read that embarking the ship was not good. I would like to know what time PAX got there and how long you had to wait. I read that PAX had a long wait.

Disembarking I also read was not good. Would like to know about this too. How bad was it for you if you parked off site?

It took us an hour to get from the Country Inn&Suite on their shuttle to terminal 10. There we joined the "priority line" which stretched all the way back to the bus unloading area I would guess probably 500 people. We stood there approx 3 hours as they would only let 3-5 people in the door at a time. BTW the regular lines were moving much faster. After several people had medical problems requiring the need of medical assistance RCCL finally brought water out followed by the port personnel offering bottled water. At no time were we told what the holdup was although there were several rumors being thrown around.

Debarkation: As Diamond Plus our departure location was deck 3 of the Palace Theater tags 1&2 scheduled departure was 9:30 to 9:45, we went out on schedule, unfortunately several people with higher number decided to go out with us. The baggage claim area in Terminal (carnival terminal) is a large room with numbered tables, once you found your luggage you then had to go the the porter return door and grab a porter as they came back in..real shortage of porters. It was @10:30 when we finally left the hotel homeward bound.

We just got off the Explorer this morning...what a mess, anyhow for what it is worth, we were told by a port employee that the new dock now will not be ready until the middle of January. Terminal & parking garage are ready.

We are booked on a Vision of the Seas 7 day out of Tampa departing Jan 31, 2015 which I started a roll call for...We realized that this cruise is over a year out but it does seem strange that no one else has signed in yet..looks like a good itinerary.:D

We are booked on the 15nov14 9 day cruise...active roll call..join us.:)

Just 13 more days...:D:D
