Sorry....BUT when you are complaining about Beverages on a Princess Cruise and you only Purchased the PLUS Package,

Where you expecting Top Shelf when you did NOT Pay for TOP SHELF.  If you want better choices you still have time to upgrade to Premium Beverages.  But AGAIN Premium will NOT get you

Top Shelf Spirits or Wines.  Top shelf will come with an Upcost per drink Cost. If you Drink Caymus Wines at Home...I assume you can afford paying for Premium Beverage and Upcost. If you CHEAP OUT on a Cruise...You only GET what you Pay For.

We are on Princess in June on an Alaska cruise/land package, on Royal. The app would not, for 2 weeks at least, allow me to get my medallion sent to me. Couldn't load it said. Everything else worked. So I called Princess to get it sent before we sail so as to cut some of the embarkation time. Got some rep, and if that is indicative of their customer service, shame on them. I had to literally yell at him to stop his sale pitch to me-excursions, dinners, premium package, wifi, special occasions, and on and on. We are Platinum on Princess, and any moron can see what there is to buy on the website. The call took 40 minutes! I asked for a supervisor and he refused to connect me. We have cruised 32 times, and I have never had this kind of treatment. All I wanted was for them to send me the 2 medallions so I could have them before we sailed. When he finally got it done the delivery date is 6 weeks! He told me there must be something wrong with my phone.  He said their computers were running bad. Said they were having problems with the app. I don't have any cruises booked with Princess right now-I may not do them again. Have liked their product,  but when I spend thousands of dollars with them I expect a rep on the phone to do what I ask for.I realize that he probably gets a cut for any thing he sells, and their ships are full and they can do anything they want to do to us, but it does not mean I have to like it!!!

Thank you. I called Chase for a specific question concerning pre-existing conditions ( I am being treated for lung cancer). They confirmed that as long as I have a doctor's statement, I would be covered. Thank you again. You have saved my $700.

Would like to know where you got that from. It does not say that on any of the insurance paperwork I have gotten from them. Also was not an issue when we made a claim a few years ago.

    1. Vacation protection insurance: You may have the option to purchase vacation protection insurance offered through the cruise or tour Supplier. If you decline any such vacation protection insurance, you will assume all risk of recovery of your costs and Chase Travel will be unable to assist you. Refunds and coverage are subject to the policies of the individual travel insurance provider.  This is in the travel disclosures for CRUISE AND TOURS SUPPLIER TERMS.

There are a couple of credit cards with excellent coverage including Chase Sapphire.  Does have a fee after the first year.  We found its coverage and claim procedure to be fast and fair.  Even has primary coverage on rental cars.

With Chase Sapphire Preferred, if the cruise line offers travel insurance, then the Chase Sapphire card cannot be used for insurance.

  6. For my 16 day Hawaii cruise, I have a mini-suite and purchased the Plus Package. If I end up in a "full suite" do I still need the Plus Package? In other words, are any of the Plus Package perks already included with a Suite? Thanks.

  7. Thank you to everyone that responded. Just thought I would update you. The Carnival passenger that was banned for life has had the ban reversed. They also received a partial refund for the cruise fare and all of the port charges.

  8. I know I am going to get a lot of negative comments, but, I have a question. I am a lung cancer patient. Had a lobectomy and chemo. I have a problem with nausea and motion sickness. In the past I could take dramamine-ish type medication. It is no longer effective. I have been taking low mq marijuna gummies to help. Has anyone had an issue boarding a ship in San Francisco or Vancouver with gummies? Thank you for understanding.
