    I went back MSC site to MODIFY passenger information and let them sending me another ticket then found out they changed the arrival time from 3PM to 10 AM!!.  It is a little early but it was the same on last year October due to the low passengers count they did not check the arrival time.

    Fellow Chattanoogan here....Looking forward to my first MSC cruise

  2. On previous non-NCL ships we have sailed, there are been some 'secret' areas one can go to that are open to the public, but generally not easy to find, ie. certain platforms/deck areas. Does anyone know if the NCL Pride of America have any of these areas off the beaten path? Not sure if it is big enough to have anything like that, but thought I would ask.

  3. Thanks Merion_Mom [emoji106]

    Ultimate package originally paid $487.34 - Now charged $446.04 - Discount = 8.4%

    Shouldn't the new price at 20% discount be $389.88?

    Looks like I've been overcharged by $56.16

    Premium package originally paid $404.74 - Now charged $388.22 - Discount = 4.1%

    Shouldn't the new price at 20% discount be $323.80?

    Looks like I've been overcharged by $64.42

    Just trying to get some feed back on whether R.C.I are falsely advertising 20% discount on there beverage packages.

    I posted a few days ago about the Premium 20% discount not being accurate on the website when I was thinking about ordering it...the true 'retail' price is somewhat a mystery , and what was listed as regular price of $49/day online at the end of April.. and the discounted price of $47/day..just doesn't add up to 20%? For sure...

  4. Just for grins and giggles, I added the premium to my cart for allure. It indicated 18% will be added (to the $39 = $46). I added to my cart for my Feb cruise where Premium is $57 and it stated tax was already included. Based on that, $57 less 20% discount is $45.6.

    Looks like this is the key...$49 /day is not valid amount being paid for the PREMIUM at all...:eek:

  5. David,

    Should be like this:

    49 - 20% (9.80) = 39.20

    + 18% (7.02) = 46.22

    * 7 nights = 323.54 USD total

    The 47 USD shown as advertised price includes the 18%.

    Did you "put it in the cart"? Then it should show something under 330 USD for the whole cruise.

    Let´s say RCI maths has nothing to do with the real science :D!

    steamboats

    This is the rub...The cart will show the total as $388.22, so the $47.00/day does NOT include the 18% gratuity, so there is no true 20% savings based on the $49.00/day regular price (unless, as other have stated, the truth is that this still posted as of April 27, 2016 at $49.00/day as the regular, non discounted price)

  6. Had the same issue. I was told (after multiple calls) that the premium price was raised to $59/day for summer sailings and $55/day for regular season. Not sure if this is true overall or just for the "sale" as they don't seem to be in a hurry to update prices on their website.

    Interesting because the PDF that pulls up (From RCCL and dated 4/27/2016 at the bottom) when you google RCCL drink package, shows $49.00 for premium

  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Okay- we had previously decided to NOT do a drink package this time, but after seeing the 20% discount pre-cruise special in my cruise planner, I have started crunching the numbers again to see...

    My issue is I am not seeing a true 20% discount when I do the math...so can someone help?

    RCCL website for PREMIUM listed it as of 4/27/2016

    $49.00/day (no tip)--->(+tip $8.82)--->> total $57.82/day

    7 DAY TOTAL= $404.74

    WITH 20% discount on Cruise Planner

    $47.00/day (no tip)--> (+tip $8.46)--->> total $55.46/day

    7 DAY TOTAL= $388.22

    A difference of only $ 16.52 ? Not 20%?

    Am I missing something?

  8. We are in port from 8am-11pm, and have a 3 hours ATV tour that morning. Depending on how dusty we get from the tour, we would like to maybe eat lunch near the port and maybe enjoy something nearby for the afternoon before getting back on the ship...

    Any good bars/casual eating areas within walking distance of the port/ship?

    Any touristy things we could do close by as well?

    We are a family of five...

  9. We definitely still use them on our trips...our credit union does not charge to get them so I feel better using them to avoid any ATM fees for cash, especially since I'd rather not carry over $1000 in cash initially to pay for our excursions, etc..I have never had an issue cashing them at guest services except last trip, when I got a phone call the next day after cashing some, when they said my signature on one of the checks was not close enough of a match to the preliminary signature for their security person, so I had to return and simply resign it again...darn my poor penmanship, but kudos to them for making sure ..

  10. If you don't have one running I would try an ad blocker program. It will block the annoying ads that show up on the side of the screen. From what I saw in the past (prior to ad blocking) the message seems to be related to the ads trying to link elsewhere. Just a thought but those messages disappeared for me after using an ad blocker.

    Thanks...I have installed Ad Block Plus...let hope it works!

  11. I am a little compute illiterate, so forgive me, but I recently keep getting an error message 'Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting'....Has anyone else had problems with this annoying message, since I have to constantly X it to continue viewing each page...

    Cross-site scripting (XSS) is a type of computer security vulnerability typically found in web applications.

    So is this a CC website issue?
