Are they in regular rooms?
-
Hi! I'm traveling on POA and would like to get a car rental for one full day (9am-10PM). I am hesitant to book anywhere because I've heard about the long waits to pick up the car and overnight parking issues at the port. It looks like the best thing to do would be a one day pick up and drop off which looks like I'll need to go to the airport. Any recommendations for a company without hassles.

Yes, if you get to the port after boarding has begun someone from Carnival will walk you past the very long line to a separate area where you will board as soon as your check-in is done. I've had FTTF just once but I found it very worth it, just in the fact that I could go drop my carry-ons off as soon as I boarded the ship and my luggage was already there so I was unpacked and ready to start my vacation before muster drill! I have FTTF again on my cruise in 5 days and have no tender ports but still purchased it for the other benefits, enjoy your cruise! :)
Thanks, this is what I was thinking. I don't mind not being the first on board, I just don't want to wait in a huge checkin line. I'm thinking I'll keep it after hearing others' comments as well.

I have the same question, but I can't seem to get answer. What if your arrive after boarding has started, is it still worth it? It sounds like there is still a separate line. I've purchased FTTF, and am wondering if I should cancel it. There are no tender ports for my cruise. I'm sailing on the Valor. I do have a somewhat earlier flight (12:30) home. Any thoughts?

If you arrive after boarding, is it still worth it to have FTTF? Is there a special line to bypass the masses if you arrive after everyone? I'm hoping it will save us time waiting in long lines to get aboard.

Usually I purchase day passes directly at the hotel. Was there a benefit to purchasing them online?

Is there a liquor store at the port? I thought someone had mentioned it. I'm flying in that dau so I'm trying to figure out how to pick up a couple bottles before boarding.

My travel agent had my cabin decorated and has had gifts delivered for one of my milestone bdays. The waiters also sang to me.

So if i have anytime dining, would i get a table first if I purchased FTTF? (well behind platnum, etc.)
Also, do you think they would assign me a cabin asap (Ive booked a guarantee balcony) hahha..? I know this one is wishful thinking, but I was thinking they would need to know what cabin to clean quicker if I had FTTF.
I had to go back and correct punctuation as I have been "ripped" on here for having too many exclamation marks, hahah (so I know what some of you posters are talking about when some of the members are a bit harsh, lol)
I'm curious about the anytime dining time too. I purchased the FTTF this time. I'm hoping it's worth it.

I had an inside room and realized all the money we were saving that could be used to cruise more often. We also realized how little time we actually would spend outside on the balcony. They're nice, but something that does not make or break a trip.

Yes, it has all the upgrades. I sailed on the Triumph this past December. It was a great ship.

Thanks for the review! I am sailing with my husband in June. Looking forward to hearing about the ports!

This is so disturbing. It almost makes me want to stay on the ship, but I wouldn't do so. I'm not sure what type of excursion to take to avoid this type of scene.

I'm thinking of going to Turtle Bay post cruise. Would you recommend a longer stay Pre or post cruise?
-
Just returned from Triumph, and yes there was a nasty smell on Deck 2 in the midship area. I've smelled these odors on other ships at times, but it was noticeable this time. Our bathroom had a funky smell as well. Something really needs to be done to get rid the smell on this deck.
I must say though that we had the best cabin steward, Abe, that we've had in a long time.

We were on the cruise before you, and also was waited on by Pande's team. He really was the best waiter. So friendly!

Be positive. Before blaming someone else, wait and see what happens. This has happened to me on two occasions. Once, I had Carnival return my daughter's money, prescription mess, and an expensive necklace. Another time I left a hotel unable to find a necklace, thought the worst, but later found it.

How was your weather? I keep checking the forecasts and am wondering if I should have booked a cruise our of Florida instead.
-
Were there movies on the desk at night? On my last cruise they provided blankets and popcorn. It was very relaxing.

Hi! I am thinking about doing the Carnival excursion La Casa en La Playa. It looks like it has great reviews. Does anyone have any pics that they can post? Is it worth it? I have been to Nachi Cocom and loved it there, but want to try something different.

How is the food in the Red Frog? Is it worth paying extra?
