We also were there last week. Yup Oscar is the BEST host! We had chairs waiting on waters edge in the shade, and the Best Fried shrimp basket we have ever had!  Also had Iguana eggs, which are giant stuffed jalapenos with chicken and cream cheese battered and deep fried. Honestly, that was the Best food we had the whole week including the cruise food!   10 minutes from the port and 8 bucks cant be beat!

Deli had some new items. New cakes ....same bland no flavor!   We bought a dessert cake at the coffee/ dessert bar outside of Red Frog Pub, and was astonished to find that too had NO flavor. The only decent cake we tasted was the triple chocolate cake at the chocolate buffet. Was on the Paradise last year and found that all of the desserts we paid for were really good. Not so on Miracle.

  On the plus side, the band DAFT SAILORS was the BEST band we have seen on a Carnival cruise! That includes our favorites Blood Power and Last Call Band. We also LOVED the amazing duo TAKE TWO.

My husband had a quadruple bypass last year this exact week. My friend and i were going on a cruise that week. We got carnival insurance and got a full refund and we cancelled the day before the cruise. The first few weeks of recovery is very hard. Physical therapy starts about 6 weeks after surgery 3x week. I say wait. We think he wiil be good to go. Good luck. He can start PT when he gets back

Did you see any good rock bands? We love the Bands Bloodpower, Last Call, and Music Asia. The music makes the nightlife for us so I'm hoping for a decent classic rock band Going Jan 2019.:D

Didn't anybody notice that there were no drawers to put clothes in?? The drawesr in the desk were replaced with a mini fridge, which is fine(we didnt use it). But there were only 2 long wardrobe closets to hang things with about 10 hangers for all of our clothes. there were a couple of open shelves above and below the safe as you walk in the room on the left, but no drawer I can close my undies, bras bathing suits sox etc. so our clothes were just piled up on the bottom of the closet. The large empty space in the corner could have easily had a bureau there or a couple of chairs, but we were told by our room steward we already had a chair as he pointed to our stool under the desk!!!) Other than that the beds were super comfy and the new doors that dont slam shut were a big improvement.

Just off the Paradise. YES Kraken was playing outside of the casino and yes, they were really good. We LOVED guys burgers, missed having the stirfry station at the pool, and loved the new slides. The bureau drawers were replaced with the mini fridge and we were dissapointed there were no drawers to put our undies in and such. We couldnt understand why there was no burea drawers put in the large empty space in the corner of the room. The kitty cornered shelf under the tv was gone so we had no place to put stuff. We thought a couple of chairs or a small loveseat or bureau would have filled that large space. We noticed walking by a suite that there were 2 chairs in that big space. We asked for a couple of chairs so we didnt have to always be in bed when sitting, but our steward said we already had a chair, and pointed to the stool under the desk! Never did get any chairs. We thought the 3 shows we saw were outstanding.( 80's to the max, a Latin Show, and yes EPIC ROCK! ) The food and entertainment was better than ever including the comedy shows.

Triumph had movies blaring LOUDLY at the pool during the day which was totally obnoxious. I can see movies at night when its dark and not alot of people are out there, but to have to endure loud car crashes when we should have been listening to Raggea music was infuriating. We looked at it as another cutback on entertainment. I've since gone Fantasy class for years with no obnoxious movies

Were hoping its the LAST CALL band we saw last year. We also love Bloodpower. We are going on the last voyage out of Tampa on Jan.29th before drydock. These bands usually play outside of the casino.

Was there a rock band??? I didn't see one listed. I HOPE they didn't get rid of the rocks bands!!!!

Can you find out where they'll be after that? I cruise the last week of January and would book whatever ship they are on!!! I cant seem to find them on Facebook. So glad they contacted you!

Just got back from Labadee. No problems at all, what a beautiful beach! I'm so glad we went there!

Coming from New England, the only seafood we're craving while in Florida is fresh shrimp!! We always get firecracker shrimp and shrimp scampi at Bahama Breeze when staying in Tampa, but were going to Hilton Marina in Ft. Lauderdale this time. I know there's lots of restaurants, but we only want shrimp scampi or anywhere there is great shrimp dishes. Any good dishes within walking distance or water taxi from the Hilton?????

Stayed here pre-cruise, and loved our room overlooking the bay! We always go to Bahama Breeze for Firecracker shrimp and shrimp scampi. Being from New England, the only good seafood to us is fresh shrimp when in Florida. Our cab came within 5 minutes. Best hotel and location for Tampa!!!

Both are the same price. The Pier 66 pool looks better, and I can't tell if there's a hot tub at the Hilton Marina pool. Which has a better location for restaurants? Being from New England, we love to eat fresh shrimp when in Florida!:)

Just got back from my 3rd year in a row of Carnivals Paradise. We loved the smaller ship, the shows with live orchestra, comedy, and rock band. Weve always been dissapointed they did away with the poolside raggae band years ago and now we hear there are no more orchestra bands anymore and they are using "playlist" shows which has NO live band ! I'm ready for a change and I am hoping the Brilliance(which is the same capacity ship and the Tampa port we love) has a live rock band, a pool band and live orchestra for shows. PLEASE let me know as we cruise not only for the warm winter sun, but we love music! Good music!

Going on Paradise Jan 24th and wodering if Bloodpower is back on the ship. If not does anyone know who is playing for a rock band. I thought I read that Music Boardwalk was on her a while ago when Bloodpower was on break.

I saw them this past Jan aboard the Paradise. They said they were going home soon for a break. Im hoping theyll be back next Jan for our next Paradise cruise
