I would just like to add to all the great reviews for Dewar. We had a two day stop in Bali on our April cruise and we hired him for both days. We had a wonderful time with him, saw a lot and learned so much about the Balinese culture. He’s extremely accommodating and fun to be with. A private guide is definitely the way to go in Bali, we drove to areas that buses couldn’t go. In the evening after our tour, we took a taxi to Nusa Dua and had dinner at a resort on the beach. If you are going to Bali, hire Dewar, you won’t be sorry. 

We have booked Dewar (and a member of his team) in April for 2 days. For those of you who had an overnight, did you go back to the ship after your day with Dewar or did you spend the night in Ubud?  If you went back to the ship, where did you go in the evening?  Thanks for any suggestions. 

We are on the Noordam arriving Feb 2 in Timaru. Holland America have just informed us that our tour to Mt. Cook National Park has been cancelled. Any recommendations on hiring a private driver to take us there?  I have looked at independent tour companies such as Viator and Shoreexcursions Group but no one appears to have any tours whatsoever from Timaru.  We are in port from 10:00am to 8pm   Thanks

We just returned from the Celebrity Equinox and hired Tour of Italy for ourselves and 12 year old daughter. Our driver was Giancarlo, the son. He was excellent. The car was a comfortable luxurious Mercedes and his price was well below the other company's we contacted. This was our second trip to the Amalfi coast and we didn't want to see Pompeii again, but did want to spend more time in the coastal towns. He drove us to Amalfi, Ravello and Positano where we had plenty of time to explore in each destination. His English is excellent, he was very informative and a pleasure to spend the day with. I highly recommend this company.

I also had to email him twice before I got a reply, he said he didn't receive my first request. I wrote "2nd request" in the subject line of my second email and heard back very quickly. Since then, George has been very responsive.
