  1. Good to hear.  Doing this cruise to experience the Edge, looking forward to checking out the infinite balcony and magic carpet. I also want to check out the single verandahs for possible future cruise. For this one I booked as solo in a full infinite verandah.  I'll be driving down just before the cruise and spend a day or two with friends in FLL. After the cruise will be doing the "snowbird thing" using Port St Lucie as my home base and doing another cruise on 2/15 on Sky Princess.

  2. Hello Greg and Craig,

Welcome to the roll call !  Randy here from eastern long island.  I see you have already spent some time on the Edge. Can I surmise it was an overall positive experience since you have rebooked it ?

  3. Welcome Dee and Natalie and Licruiser61. I'm traveling single with a former work buddy of mine and his wife on this cruise. We are calling this the redo cruise..lol.. the last cruise we were on together about 6 years ago, he blew out his knee playing volleyball on the beach. ended up in the ER in Cozumel and left with a cast from his thigh to his foot. The rest of the cruise wasn't much fun for him or his wife. Lots of drinking on that one !

Was planning on this cruise, then spending time bouncing around fla visiting friends, anything to get away from winter. Then got an offer from Princess to good to pass up. So quick change of plans and leaving for Fla earlier than anticipated to do that cruise the week before with a friend of mine, 5 day break then onto the Escape.

  4. They run a welcome aboard party and usually another gathering at least one more time during the week. They have different things going on during sea days. T-shirt and badge and lanyard. They're also doing two group inclusive excursions through princess, but not included in the price.

You can participate in as much or as little as you want.

If you wanted to join the group and have better pricing, their TA will honor it if he can find the same if you call him. With my princess status and other offers was able to book significantly lower with them than what was posted.

Alternatively, you can book on your own and hang with the group at the aft pool. Their is no exclusive use and the group is very welcoming. The other events are group restricted.

Hope this helps and one way or another, hope to see you on board.

  5. Was just asking as there will be about 150 of us on board. Can't mention the group as that would violate CC's TOS. Can't wait to start the cruise and another Caribbean Adventure. I hope we don't run into any bears intheBonaire forests. ;) The group and the organizers are very welcoming and on past cruises have "adopted" anyone who wanted to join in. Don't know if you would be interested or not.. just wanted to let you know before hand.

  6. I've used United Airport parking twice. The rates are unbeatable. The parking is at Embassy Suites on 17th in the back, outdoor lot. Which is really crazy because if you book Embassy, stay, and want to keep your car there they charge you almost three times the price for parking then United and cars are side by side.

When you book, you'll get a confirm number. When you pull into Embassy, you give the confirm to the Valet and they will either park you car or you can self park, (my preference). The shuttle is right in front of the lobby and is an Embassy Suite shuttle or and unmarked. Getting going from there is quick and painless. Basically load and go, that has been my experience traveling with four.

Returning there is a wait time. After clearing customs, you have to call them. I think it is one of the Valet's cell phone. Tell them you need a pickup at whatever terminal. The first time we waited about 15-20 minutes. The second time was closer to 45 minutes. Both times were out of Terminal 2. The excuse was that someone didn't show up for work that morning..

I definitely would use them again despite the wait times for a 5 min ride. There is also info in this section under Embassy Suites parking if you're interested.

    Hope this helps
