  1. I just purchased the premium on the Sunshine last week. I could barely get Snap chat pictures or facebook pages to load let along dream of streaming anything. It was the first time I had this much trouble. I think the bandwidth is being used up by all of the kids on the Social package. Of course, my son had it.

  2. We're just looking for CLEAN, reasonably priced (under $200.00) and close to restaurant's and the cruise port. Someone suggested the Hotel Casablanca. Any opinions?

    Thanks,

We are staying there next Tuesday night. I finally decided I didn't want to pay over $200 a night - so I booked the $90 one. The reviews seems decent. Fingers crossed!

  3. Oh sorry! It's high school graduation for my son. We will have 2 - 18 year old boys, a 16 year old girl, and a 14 year old girl. My son (who is the one graduating) really wants a balcony but I just don't think they will use it. We will get at least two rooms. Does carnival allow kids in a connecting room with the parents? I'm thinking two connecting rooms for the girls and my husband & myself and maybe a 3rd adjoining room for the 18 year old boys. If they won't let us do that, my husband could stay with the boys and I could stay with the girls.

They will let you stay however you like. I have had my boys when they were younger than yours stay next door to us. Non-connecting rooms.

  4. Used him last Dec for an awesome tour - did the rainforest with the caves and waterfall. Wow. You have to see the sites to believe them. Andres is a true first class act! We did this one - cost at end:

    2) “THE MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR”:

This one is for the adventurous souls. We can do it several different

ways depending on your needs as this is a custom tour focused on a

deep connection with Atabey (Mother Earth). We usually start with a

Local traditional Lunch by the side of the mountain road (big tasty

home-made plates for about $6 per person/plate) to give us energy for

the day. Our adventure begins with a 20-minute hike through a valley

surrounded by stunning limestone canyons riddled with caves to the

sides of the cliffs. We walk through the valley forest and arrive at a

river that carves the canyon. Here we can swim in pristine

uncontaminated water (it can be muddy if it's been raining but that

only means we have more natural nutrients in the water so it's great

for the skin and hair, etc...), we can have an exfoliating mud bath

(imagine the best natural facial with the minerals/sediment in the

river) and float/enjoy the epic views of the colossal limestone

canyons enveloping the river. There are spectacular photography

moments to be had here. Then, we walk through the shallow water to

explore and drink from a natural water spring that emerges from a

small cave by the edge of the river. There is a section that is rocky

as we're walking through the shallow current. This is a very intimate

hidden gem that was surely a sacred place for our Taíno natives as a

source of drinkable fresh water and a small shelter from the outside

    world.

This whole area is a magical place unknown to most Puerto

Ricans and we usually have it all to ourselves. This full day tour

is our most remote and off the beaten path option and it includes

transportation (pick-up and drop-off at your place), guide, native

fruits and/or coconut water, and all fees for:

    $125 per person.

  5. Yes, but they have outright cancelled their cruise. Last I saw (I might have missed it) Carnival is still waiting to see if they can cruise or not.

That is still true. Friends of mine are still on the ship waiting - it is a quiet ship this morning. A line of buses took whoever wanted to leave back to the terminal starting early this am.

  6. I too have booked with them for my November cruise and as i continue to read all your reviews I know I've made the right choice.

Hi Bevie!!!! After the great misfit cruise last year, Tom and I booked a b2b starting nov 17. Marie, Dave, Jen and Rhonda are on the first leg on the 17th. Maybe we will see you as you are getting off. Anyways, of this tour works for you, I think I need to check it out. Hope all is well!! Lisa

  7.

We made our way back to the Liquid nightclub. There was a sign that said "Private Party" in front of the doors. ........ Almost 100 peeps.!!.......................

I guess I'll just say that roll calls are funny things. There's a core group of people that know each other(people who get well aquainted over roll call and other social media), but add on spouses and kids, and you have pretty much a big group where most people don't know anybody(like us). Sure, I'd participated on both the CC and "the other" roll call pages, but I couldn't place but a few of the faces. We made our way to the bar.....................A girl came up to us. She was wearing a pink mustache. Her screename was creative1. I guess that's her idea of being creative......hehe She was nice, and we found out it was her husband that was watching the door. We saw Ron and Amy. Ron stopped to ask us if we were in the gift exchange. ..... We got another drink. We just found an open seat/couch, and I plopped down. Lot's of spouses/kids just sitting there, filling the room, looking kind of "awkward" I'm sure we looked the same. ...... While we're in line waiting, a lady walks towards us. She see's Mary Ann's nametag, and says "Cruisin USA Mary Ann" and she looks at my tag. "Cruisin USA Gary". Without another word, she just continues on to the bar.(Of course, it was pretty well into the party, and the drinks WERE flowing.....hehe.) I came to find out that this was Bevie, the host of the "official" CC group. Just reads our nametags aloud, and passes through. We're veritable "Misfits among Misfits" I tell ya. ..................Note to self: Not sure if we'll attend anymore CC cocktail parties......................... It was fun while it lasted!! We went right back to the disco, and got 1 last free drink. The place was emptying out. Drink in hand, we headed out. That was the end of our plans with the roll call people(besides the glowing away party). I must tell you, I was slightly relieved.

My husband and I introduced ourselves and spoke with you for a few minutes during the cocktail party. We were also sure to say "hi" when we saw you during the week. Sorry the group did not meet your expectations. I met great friends on this trip and found the group to be nothing but friendly and outgoing. In fact, we are planning our next cruise in 2014. Happy Cruising!

  8. I have sent him 2 emails this week and have yet to hear back...any other suggestions? Anyone know how many people the scarab can hold?

I sent him an email about a month ago, it took a few weeks, but I did hear back. I am planning to use him this December. We have a large group and stated he could provide an additional boat to accomodate us.

  9. Ours have all been fantastic, especially with the kids

    2007 - Rolando - Honduras & Edwin - Guatamala on the Valor

    2008 - Suma (can't remember nationality) & Maximo - Honduras - Freedom

    2009 - Divina and Sam I Am - Liberty

The most memerable momen was Rolando bringing his own disposable camera the last night for his own picture with the boys. Priceless!
