  1. Could really happen at any time. Once you get within 30 days you’ll start getting some offers. By 30 days out they pretty know more or less their final occupancy for the voyage.

  2. Thanks. He is now part of the 28% who survive after 5 years with his diagnosis. I sometimes joke that he can’t die as long as we have cruises booked. I have cruises booked into 2021[emoji7][emoji7]

That’s how your do it, just keep your cruise schedule packed and never put away you luggage.

  3. We are doing a B2B & have booked room B115. Inside cabin. Any comments? Was it a mistake?

Are you asking if the inside cabin is a mistake? If so, that is a preference. Personally I always opt for the balcony because I just love to being able to sit and have a drink watching the scenery.

  4. Does anyone know what is in gym on the Golden Princess? I am interested to know what the exercise options are? Thanks!

I haven’t been on the golden princess but all gyms on princess are pretty much identical. You have your basic cardio machines (treadmill, elliptical and stepper). As far as machines go you will have lat pull down machines, bicep and tricep extensions. It’s pretty much the same equipment in a regular gym except less machines due to spacing. There are usually only 3 or 4 flat benches near the free weights.

I’m a big gym guy and I’m able to get my work in without any problems.

  5. I was wondering, when you ladies and gentleman book your cruise and start counting down what days do you consider milestones? Speaking for myself if we book a year out (365 Days) I always consider 300,200,150,100,50,10.. the biggest for me is always 100 and of course anything below 10 lol.

  6. Anticipating the cruise, not anticipating the 10+ hour flight in economy. 32 days out from the cruise and for that I am looking forward to a great trip.

Luckily I’ll only have a 2:30 hour flight. NY to Florida is quick. I have a cocktail and a nap and it’s time to get off. What ship are you sailing ?

  7. Definitely anticipation. We are going on the Caribbean princess August 25th and I swear it's all I can think about. I do all the excursion planning for the family so it's constantly going thru my head about should we do this or that. And just thinking about being away from work for 10 days puts me in a great mood.

I hear that! At work all I do is think about cruising.

  8. Hey All,

Just a quick question, have any of you done the Rhino Rider boat excursion in St. Maarten? I was thinking about booking it for my upcoming cruise. The only thing that has me a little hesitant is that while my wife can swim she is not strong swimmer by any means. Also I just wanna kinda know from those of you who have done it or know more about it then myself if it is worth the price of admission.

    Thank you in advance!

  9. Firstly, I’m very sorry to be starting a dress code thread & I’m sorry if this is answered elsewhere but.... our DS is 3 and will be joining us for dinner in the main dining room on Royal Princess. Will it be acceptable for him to wear shorts? I’ve bought him a formal outfit which looks lovely but it has long shorts and given the weather at the moment I wasn’t planning on him having to wear trousers. He has shirts for the other nights as well which I was planning on matching with shorts.

He should be fine. I highly doubt they will kick a 3 year old out of the dinning room :)

  10. What is usually do is I tip the waiter and housekeeping before hand this way I get extra good service for the entire cruise :).. I usually tip the bartenders if I got to the same spot, I’ve gotten several free drinks that way so it evens out in the end.

  11. It’s wonderful to see some of the adventures you guys have been on. I think there is always that one cruise that stands out to us and holds a special place in our hearts that we look back on when we are going through a tough time whether at work or just in life.

  12. Does anyone know if and where there will be Zumba on the Regal in September. I have heard that Zumba has been moved from a lounge due to the art auctions, not sure that is correct. Would appreciate any help.

Friends of ours went on the regal about two months ago and they did Zumba, so unless something has changed since then it should still be there. I’m going on the regal in November as well.

I know not much help but it’s a start I guess lol

  13. Thanks so much for your helpful and informative replies. I think I will stick with my reservation of E108. Much greater info than I anticipated. Again many thanks. Cliff

    When do you set sail?

  14. side note - I also saw people buying cigarettes at both the pool bar and casino bar - maybe as low as $ 3.00 a pack - now I don't smoke...but the bartender stated that was a great deal

I’m not a cigarette smoker anymore but trust me that’s a great deal. I live in New York and it’s about $14.00 per pack. What ship were you on?

  15. Sort of off topic, but I have found that the price of cigars in Churchill's is actually quite reasonable. They tend to be fresh and you know they are legit.

Good to know, I was debating on bringing my own but I may just buy them there.
