Never been on Disney but our son has never been bored on Royal!! Hardly ever see him!!
-
We got an email like that on one of our cruises....did we adhere....heck no!!! You'll be fine!

The two age groups, 12-14 and 15-17, are combined many times during the day so they should be able to hang out and play video games and foosball in the Living Room. The groups usually have separate times to use Fuel, the dance club, at night, though they will combine them if there are not many kids on board.
Agreed! My son was kicked out in one of the older gatherings....I think he was 14-15 at the time & it was on Liberty I believe. During the day, he was still able to hang out w/ the older friends b/c they normally weren't in organized activities.

We have this problem w/ booking a hotel stay for 2days....honestly you're going to get a mixed batch of reviews for cruises, resorts, hotels. We love cruising, love resorts, but never sure on hotels. We are never sure on hotels...but when ppl tell you how much they love Oasis....LISTEN! We've sailed w/ Royal(and have no desire to try anything else...yet)since 2001...we are light weights compared to many on here! I've taken a lot of advice from here & sailed on Oasis' sister Allure in 2012 and have Oasis booked this May.
We were on Liberty in 2010 & 2013. When we were on Allure in 2012, I swore up & down I missed Liberty b/c of its cozy nature. Weeeeelllll...I was wrong! I can't wait to get on Oasis in a few months! So many options await you!
I hope you guys go & have a ball!

Six of us have purchased the Premium Beverage package for our cruise next month. I have a printout of the liquors available. I just read a very recent review of the Liberty of the Seas Med cruise. That reviewer said no Grey Goose Vodka and mentioned other higher end liquors not included. On my printout Grey Goose and others he mentioned ARE included. So what is the deal? Anyone?
We just came off LOS from her first sailing off the TA...and Grey Goose was available to us on our package(that's one of my hubbys fav vodkas). Some other high end liquors are NOT available...but they will let you know what they are, I can't recall b/c we had everything we wanted!

All of the above(coming from a recent passenger).....choose the best answer...good luck!!

we will be on liberty thanksgiving day was there a band playin at sailaway
My hubby and I sailed on her for the2nd time on Nov 9(this was her first sailing after a transatlantic)...but if I recall right, there wasn't a band at sailaway. We also had cloudy skies, high winds so that could have been a factor!
Enjoy your trip!

We got this email as well(just off Liberty yesterday)which told us to come no earlier than 1230. We arrived at the port around that time and ppl were already on the ship. Never did figure out the reason behind the email...my original thought and still is to manage ppl.

Thanks for the info. My teenage son and I are going on Liberty for Spring Break. DW can't go this time so it will be a different cruise for me without her and spending all the time with DS. Definately looking forward to it though and 5 days will probably be enough since it is just the two of us.
We have been on Freedom so we know what to expect on Liberty. Freedom was our favorite ship until we went on Oasis last month but when we stepped away and thought about what the differences were and which of those things we really use' date=' there really wasn't any difference.
I am a little worried that it will be more of a party cruise because of it being Spring Break and a shorter cruise but can't decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing ;)[/quote']
I'm sure there will be plenty of teens onboard giving the time you are sailing. We were glad our teen son wasn't w/ us this time due to the lack of kids...I doubt yours will not have a prob finding friends!
Like I said, I felt this was more of a party cruise just given the fact it was shorter and during the school year. We have never traveled during spring break but I'm sure you will have some college kids onboard ready to party!

Just off the Liberty yesterday. Formal night was a mix of everything...but jacket and tie are not required.

I'm sure everyone would love to hear your thoughts on the cruise since Liberty is back in FLL now.
We were on Allure last year and I must say I thought Liberty was my favorite ship going into this cruise(this was our 2nd time on her, we've also been on the Voyager class).....during the cruise, there were things I missed about Allure but I still love the size of Liberty. Also on Allure, the activities seemed to be non-stop, this cruise I noticed the down time.
I also thought the food was lacking a little in comparison to our past cruises.
When we first boarded the ship, we stopped in at Vintages to order the premium package and ended up making great friends w/ the bartender Lucille. She had warned us the staff may be a little tired and blah due to the TA but the staff was incredible as always! I did find our cruise director to be not as visible as on past sailings. I saw him twice and if we passed each other in passing, I didn't notice him. We loved our stateroom attendant as well.
This was our 1st 5 day trip and miss the 7 days. The passengers seemed more of party go'ers on this ship than any other we've been on, which we enjoyed. I attribute that to the 5 days and the school year...hardly any kids this time around.
We enjoyed ourselves for sure and would sail her again but on a 7 day(only b/c we missed the 7 days).

We just got off Liberty yesterday. We are platinum as well. When we arrived around 12pm, the line was out the building and around it! One guy told us we had to stand in the line which we thought was weird but we did as told. A minute later a guy was calling all platinum and above members...we bypassed the entire line and was onboard w/in 10 mins....when Im sure the other line was at least a 30 min wait if not more.

We were on this sailing, it went to Cozumel and Belize.....yes, they had lobster!
-
We were on this sailing, just got back home last night. We were afraid we were going to miss our flight...they kept saying the delay was immigration. Luckily, we got off in time...it was around 12pm when we got off...we were the last group.
-
Just off Allure...had reservations...they even switched shows on me, had an excursion cancelled....never a problem to rebook or replace.
-
My son was 12 when we were on Liberty last summer. He made a friend w/in the first 2 hours of being on the ship at the pool....after that, we rarely saw him! If your son is outgoing, he will not have a problem making friends. Like another poster said, make sure to go to the kids club and arcade...the kids hang out in droves! Have fun!
Oasis - Embarkation / Check In and Boarding (Early) How early is early?

Just got off Oasis June 6. We normally like to get to port by 11 but b/c of traffic this time in returning our rental car, we got to the port around 1230. It was the best thing that ever happened! We are platinum(not high)but enough for us to bypass lines, so we did...by the time we were on ship which was 1:00 or sooner, rooms were open & somehow we got our luggage w/in an hour....all of it!
On previous cruises we thought we did ourselves a justice by getting there by 11..ummm no. All that is, is waiting in the huge waiting room(holding cell)! This time we walked right on!
