  1. Hello fellow Cruisers,

My husband & I are considering booking the 10 day Mexican Riviera cruise out of San Francisco on the Grand, leaving Dec. 8. Can't find any fantastic promotions for balcony rooms. Anyone have any whiffs of deals coming out for cruises this year? Or should we just book now?

Also we are looking at a category BE room - Baja B201 - first forward cabin. Any comments on that room? Is it near a crew door or entrance way? Being far forward is ok for us with excess motion or wind (unless it is truly unbearable).

    Thanks all for your input.

    Elizabeth

  2. Asking for opinions:

What do you think is the break even point for AIBP? How many drinks a day would make it a "good" deal for you? Considering buying it for our cruise to Mexico in Dec. on the Grand. I like a couple of glasses of wine with dinner. My husband is not a big alcohol drinker but loves his espresso drinks. Is it worth it?

    Thanks!

  3. I love the service on cruise lines. Being served breakfast on china with sliverware makes it feel special. It's all the little things that add up to make a fine dining experience. With so much good food available, it's nice to be able to have a taste here, a bite there, and enjoy all the little nibbles. I love eating multi-course dinners served with panache, the showmanship of a tableside Caesar salad or a flaming dessert! The pageantry makes me feel like I am away from my normal life and enjoying the moment!

  4. I think this new policy is a step in the right direction. Being from NYC area (USA) seems like it has taken quite a while to make these changes. I don't smoke, never have, and can remember when there smoking and non-smoking areas in restaurants. The smoky smell always wafted over to the non-smoking section in most places. This is where I wish Princess would improve. Instead of having a lounge cut down the middle with one side designated smoking and the other banning smoking, have a designated closed smoker's lounge. From my non-smokers's point of view, I prefer this. Smokers may feel isolated or excluded. I don't know. What do others think?

I also wish they would improve ventliation, air purification, etc. those types of improvements are beneficial for all.
