Our next door neighbour is Irish and her husband refuses to let her ask for a "fork and spoon" as her accent immediately makes us hear the word FORK as the other F word.

With a Texan grandson who we pick up from school in Dallas I have regular miscommunications with other parents. After we returned from one visit our daughter in law was approached by a parent who offered her 2 free tickets to a Comedy Club in Plano. It turned out the parent was a stand-up comedian who had included a number of the "incidents" into his routine.

Hi Geoff! I hope you and Anita are doing well... I hope to be doing better soon and will be in touch... Love to you both, Jackie

Good responses.  I have been mildly disappointed at the Martini Bar on Celebrity ships as the menu seems to be stacked in favor of Vodka Martinis over Gin Martinis.  My wife will not drink Gin and definitely loves most Vodka Martinis if you can still call them that- things like Cosmos and Lemon Drops.  I tell her that traditional Gin Martinis are for purists.  She tells me that gents prefer Gin and ladies prefer Vodka.  Does she speak the truth?

I love gin martinis, vodka does not a martini make in my book...

Hi All. This could very possible be the rules on the S Class. However, on the M Class the sunset bar is connected to ocean view cafe. As a matter of fact the out door seating for the ocean view is at the sunset bar so that’s why we are able to here. On the S Class ships the sunset bar is one deck up and separate. So I assume that’s the reasoning for the difference. We’ve seen a good handful of people eating at the sunset bar here.

Thanks, Paul! Good to know as my sister and I are doing B2B next month on the Constellation!

Paul, back in March my wife and I sailed the Edge. We ran into IMADE working the sunset bar, whom we have meet before on a previous cruise. On one instance, I grabbed a few snacks from the buffet and proceed to sit at the sunset bar and ordered a drink from IMade. He politely told me I cannot eat at the bar and that I needed to find another seat. This seems conflicting from your experience on Millennium. Are you aware of any official policy on that? Obviously coming from the States, its normally accepted to eat food at a restaurant bar. Just curious on your thoughts. Thanks

We, too, have experienced having to move elsewhere due to food not being allowed at the Sunset Bar on S Class ships...

On our Canada/New England cruise a few years ago we sailed past the Statue of Liberty and the 911 Monument. It was Captain Kate's first full cruise as Master of the Vessel and we were honored to be invited to the Captains table for dinner.  We had a whole lobster dinner out of one of the ports, don't remember which one. Very enjoyable cruise that we hope to repeat.

We were on that cruise with you and fresh, whole Maine lobster was in the MDR, too. I remember the port was Portland, ME, as our son, who lives in NH, met us for the day. It was a lovely day and the "lobbies" were delicious!
