Maybe it's me.    I get that you have to update and all that.  But, it looks like all the color has been sucked out of everything.  It's all GRAY!  Shades of gray, white, off-white, cream...........Guess that's the trend.     Not sure how I feel about it. Anyone else?

I was hoping the grey trend would have been over by now, at least in home decor.  This would make me sad, and if it were a cloudy and rainy day....I don't know if I would like that at all.

This demographic was not on my cruise.  We had a dog wearing baby clothes in a stroller with a handmade sign saying "service dog".  Plus, we had  residents from the Villages in Florida.  I did not see them in the video....

This made me laugh......   the truth is funny sometimes...

  3. Such a great review!  Thank you.  Your review came from the heart and you did not sugar coat anything nor did you embellish anything that you did not find to your liking.  We appreciate it, as we have an interest in this ship because we will be on it for an 11 day out of Ft. Lauderdale in April.

  4. We are on an 11-day out of Ft. Lauderdale in April.  My husband and I don't really drink a whole lot, so we may have a beer in the afternoon, a glass of wine with dinner and a glass of wine in one of the bars afterwards.  We will bring on 2 bottles of our favorite cab and we can enjoy a glass on the balcony before retiring.  So, because this is our MO, we probably won't purchase a package and just buy the drink by the glass, as we stick to beer and wine.  Those cocktails are notoriously  pretty skimpy with the alcohol anyway.  If a good discount comes up while we are on board, we may change our minds.  That's how we roll. 😁

  5. Same cruise as the OP. I couldn't disagree more. This was our 51st cruise and it was as good as any of the others. First of all the ship is a gem, it's a real ship without all the stupid stuff like wave runners, ice skating rinks and shopping malls. We are in our 70s and don't need all that. It does have a small rock climbing wall. Rhapsody is very tastefull designed, very classy and kept spotless. You would hardly know the ship is 20 years old. We love the smaller ships and I hope RCCL keeps the Vision class around for a few more years. My guess is that there will be smaller ships doing cruises out of Tampa for awhile because the larger ones are too tall for the Sunshine bridge and can't sail under it. There has been talk for years about a new port being built around St. Pete Beach but still no action.

Embarkation was a breeze, we were on the ship just before 11am, a record for us. We did the Walk Off with luggage and we were off the ship at 11:20. Just a block walk to the parking lot.

Entertainment was very good except for the comedian on Friday night.

As far as the food, it was excellent for a cruise ship, everything in the MDR and Windjammer was as could as it could get.

Service was also very good especially our waiters, Nikola and Emily. Oscar our cabin steward was also great. We loved the Rhapsody so much we booked another cruise on her while on board for Nov. 26th.

Thank you! We will be on this ship on April 15th and I believe your review.
  6. My husband and I are owners there. The pools are for owners and guest of owners only and not for day trippers. The beach is lovely and the water is refreshing. You have to understand that we pay a yearly maintenance fee in addition to the purchase price for our suite and we feel the pool is part of what we pay for. It just isn't right to have someone use those facilities for free. The beach, again, is gorgeous and a wonderful place to enjoy if you come in for the day.
