  1. Hi. I was wondering if the concierge class embarkation lunch is worth going to? We usually just check out the buffet and go to the grill. Not really in to a sit down lunch. Are the maitre d's there to discuss dining preferences? Also, can you leave your carry on bags there even if you are not sitting down for lunch? Any info would be appreciated. We are on the Summit and don't know if it is the same for all the ships. Thanks a lot

  2. Hi. Tried to book directly with Celebrity for the hotel/transfer package but they are not taking any new reservations because they are trying to accommodate the people they already have since the hotels Celebrity was using is currently closed. I'm also afraid of booking a hotel that isn't supposed to open until December.

  3. Hi. I was wondering if any Summit Cruisers have overnighted in Puerto Rico either pre or post cruise and where you stayed and what your experience was like. We are on the Summit Dec 12 and were supposed to stay at the Embassy Suites which is now going to be closed. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  4. Hi. We are going on the Summit in December and really loved getting sushi at around 5 for a pre dinner appetizers with some cocktails. Are they no longer offering the sushi unless you go to sushi on 5 and pay for it, or are they still offering it on the buffet at dinner time? Thanks for the info

  5. Hi. On the pick your perk package for the drink package does anyone know what the dollar limit per drink is? Also, does anyone have a list of the beer, wines and liquors you can get. Also how many specialty dinners can you get if you pick that perk?

Any information will be helpful. Thanks

  6. Hi. We are interested on going on the Escape in August. We are in our twentys and it seems that there is a lot of activities for us to do. I have a few questions for anybody that has gone on the Escape or similar Norwegian ship. First- are all the activities free like the ropes course, the water park, the snow room etc. I also know that there is no grill on the pool deck but is there anywhere else you can get hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. Do they have that in the buffet. What is the English Pub like and is it free? Also, is there any pizza on board? Any information I can get would be great. We think this looks like a great ship but we are on a limited budget and don't want to have to pay a lot for extras that they offer for free on other cruise lines. Thanks for your help!

  7. we had a totally different experience. we were on a back to back 1/2 and 1/9 and couldn't have been happier with our dining room service. Mind you we had select dining but we were thrilled with our wait staff, sommelier and maitre d. Never had to wait for a table and in fact we had the same one every night for two weeks! They couldn't have been more accommodating. If you had a bad server, you should have done something about it on the first night rather than not say anything and come home and complain to all and make it seem like a common occurence. One bad apple does not spoil the whole bunch. In my opinion it really was your own fault that you had a bad experience and you could have easily rectified it by switching tables.

  8. Thank you EatonDollitle. I didn't know I would anger people by saying that I feel hosed that I might not be able to go to the casino and turn my OBC into cash! I too have an amount that I will never use up. I like to pre book my shore excursions and also do a lot on our own. Why should I feel obligated to purchase some unneeded items at the shops or go to a specialty restaurant, just because. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks again!

  9. Hi. Celebrity gave us OBC and also prepaid our gratuities and drink package during their wave promotion. We were planning on cashing out the unused OBC at the casino as there is no way we will use it all. Now I feel like I'm going to be hosed! I was wondering if you buy something at one of the shops with the onboard credit and then return it and have the credit on your account if that will be able to go back on your credit card at the end of the cruise? Any ideas?

  10. Hi. Just wanted to know people's thoughts on arriving into San Juan after midnight on New Year's eve. We are taking the Summit leaving January 2 and are trying to decide whether to leave Dec 31 or Jan 1. We are at a hotel on the beach 20 minutes away and are worried about 1) getting a cab and 2) how safe it is to drive to the resort that is 30 minutes away at one o'clock in the morning. Anybody with any advice? Thanks a lot
