Hi There! We happen to have Grand Scenic cabin 9201 booked for May 6. It would be an awesome coincidence if we had the same cabin the week before you. I don't know about you, but we booked it literally the instant it became available - the day it was rumored to go live, we kept refreshing Carnival's website until it showed up (for hours!) :-P.

I'll try to take a few pics and post them before it sails away. For what it's worth, we were the second sailing to have the exact same cabin when they added it to the Splendor a couple of years ago. Here's a link to some pics we took; the cabin should be similar or exact.  Carnival Splendor 9201

    Enjoy your cruise 🙂

Would you believe we’re booked in that cabin next summer? I’m also very interested in photos.  We’re sailing this summer too, so I’ll probably go be nosy that trip and see for myself. 🙂

  2. Thanks Mike for starting the weight loss board.

You are very welcome as always Belle. I’ve always enjoyed doing that for you, however, I wont be available during your long cruise. Hopefully some of the others will be willing to help out during those weeks.

  3. Pacruise, 4lbs isnt bad at all. I used to be a standard 7 or 8 every cruise but these days its around 4 or 5.

Anthem is on our ‘maybe’ list too. Being Royal is the only thing that’s kept us away so far. The indoor pool area, other than the solarium, looks appealing for winter cruises from NYC.

Your 4lbs will disappear in no time.

  4. Good morning everyone. We'll have to survive without poetry while Belle is at sea. If anyone creative wants to start our thread during her long cruise, please let me know.

My numbers aren't worth reporting. I realize with a year and a half of regular exercise and muscle growth the numbers don't go down like they once did, but its hard to get used to when you know there is still lots of room to improve. Either way, I'm still doing what I've been doing. Walked 6.2mi last weekend, 3.5 in the rain a couple days ago and on the treadmill otherwise. I'll keep up my end of it and just hope my body decides to cooperate again one day.

I'm sure Belle and Diana are having a great time at sea. It seems like someone else was sailing this week too, but I can't remember for sure. A few others have recently returned. I know this is the popular time to go. I hope this holiday thing works well for us, I'm still quite wary of it.

Hope you all are well. I'll check in later and see how everyone is doing. Have a good day.

  5. Happy Birthday Jan! I love both of those itineraries, but my wife feels a bit more like you. A cruise is a cruise though, so Im sure it was good.

Our final is due on the Christmas cruise, and Im still struggling with second thoughts. I really, really dislike Royal Caribbean. But this deal was too good to pass up. Its the Grandeur, which isn’t new and flashy by any means, but we still enjoyed sailing her 10yrs ago. The Norwegian Escape at Thanksgiving is what we’d typically do, but passed on it this year. Now that rate is way down tempting me further. But Id be insane to pick a 7day Bahamas itinerary over a 12day far eastern Caribbean! Ok, sorry. Its whats on my mind anyway. [emoji846]

  6. Very sorry that happened Katmu. I guess you’ll have to focus on diet rather than exercise for a while, but thats not a bad thing. And theres definitely nothing wrong with looking at the bright side! Glad your son’s graduation went well. Take care of yourself.
