  1. Over a period of 30 years, between 1976 and 2006, estimates of flu-associated deaths in the United States range from a low of about 3,000 to a high of about 49,000 people. Get your flu shot.

    .

I agree, more people are affected by the infulenza virus every year. That makes the total of Ebola deaths so far (approx 4500) small by comparison. Get your flu shot before boarding a ship, wash your hands often, don't touch your face. And use the antibacterial stations provided around the ship.

  2. Don't choose, do both. We did a B2B last November-option A&B on the Summit.

If I'm honest I can't remember which island we did what on. St.Lucia, St. Kitts, Dominica, Grenada pretty much all looked the same. We were in St Croix on a Sunday, the island is almost shut down on Sundays.

Loved Barbados even tho we got ripped off by a taxi driver, you hear me Michael!!!!

Went to St. John on the ferry, but when we got to Trunk Bay, it was closed for swimming and snorkling because of high surf.

St. Martin was by far our favorite. Took the bus to Maho and spent hours there and met some great people.

The Summit was the best too. We were lucky enough to book on the 123 go getting the drink package. The martini bar was a hoot. Had a different Martini every nite (or 2 or 3). Best bargin ever on all of the cruises we have taken.

  3. I was there yesterday. Took the ferry for $.50 each way, then the shuttle $3 each way. At Bacardi the visitor center was closed for maintenance so the tour was thru the old building. Meh, nothing special. The drinks were ok, but she was stingey pourer. An ok tour if you have nothing else planned.

No ships in port on Friday so the streets of OSJ were nice and empty.

Have been here for 5 days and the best bargain is the city bus. We are staying at Embassy Suites in Isla Verde, the T5 bus stop is one block away and the fare is 75 cents one way. Stops at the bus terminal in OSJ. Walking distance to everything in OSJ.

  4. Do you have to be a member prior to cruising Carnival to get the Bon Voyage Package? I am a member of Grazie (Venitian Casino Club) already. Sould I send OPC my membership # and my criuse date for this benefit??
