  1. We will be docking in Bali in April and need to get our Indonesia visa.  I have been working on it all day and can't seem to get my photo to download.  My picture is there but I keep getting a pop up that states cannot see photo.  I can get to the last page before payment but since photo problem can not go any farther.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  We will be docking there aboard Oceania Nautica.

    Thanks for all your help.

  2. We will be aboard Oceania Nautica docking in Sydney on March 21 at approximately 11 a.m. and leaving Sydney on March 22 at 6 p.m.  I have already booked a tour for the day of March 22.  Is it at all possible to take the train and HOHO bus to see Blue Mountain or is there not enough time for March 21.  We are not hikers but would hate to miss seeing Blue Mountain as this is our first time to Australia.

    Thanks for your input.

  3. Hi,

We will be in flying from Bangkok to Yokohama on April 23 so will be there April 24-27 and then board the same ship.  There are lots of walking tours but we want a driving tour.  There will be four of us so far.  I am checking out get your guide which does have a tour with a driver.  Thought maybe go to Mt. Fuji and then another day tour to Tokyo. Could be costly though.

  4. We will be staying at The Hyatt Regency Yokohama before boarding Royal Princess on April 27 with a cruise from Yokohama to Anchorage.  Does anyone know of a tour guide that will pick us up in a car at hotel and take us on a one day tour of Tokyo and one day to Mt. Fuji.

we have contacted the hotel and they will not arrange any private tours.

    thanks.

  5. You are so right.  We won't be so stupid next time and I come from Chicago.  But my BIL was getting nervous that we wouldn't get to airport in time for flight.

Glad I posted warning about cab drivers and Carmel Limo service for Brooklyn Cruise Port.

  6. We picked a taxi from the taxi line and i can't remember if it was green or yellow but there was a meter.  There were 4 of us with 4 pieces of luggage and 2 carry ons.  One cab driver in line quoted $150 and I refused.  Then another driver said you have 4 people and no one will take you so you will need 2 cabs which would have been fine and I should have said use a meter.

We wanted to make sure we got to the airport and one cab driver said $100 for all four.  I knew it was  too much but my BIL said just take it.  When we got to the airport, I gave the guy $100 with no tip as I know we paid too much and he said what no tip.  No one else would have taken you. My husband felt bad and gave hi $10.00.  So this is fair warning when you leave the cruise port, just know what you should pay and call an uber or lyft if possible.  A couple waiting in the taxi liine called uber and they were there within 10 minutes and cost $60.00 to LGA.

  7. We used Carmel Limo Services from La Guardia Airport to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on October 1, 2022, and they were fine with no problems. Since it worked out so well, I booked them to pick us up at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on October 8 after our cruise on the Enchanted Princess.  I received a confirmation for that booking.

Followed their instructions to call after we had our luggage, and they would be there in 15 minutes.  The gentlemen at Carmel told me that our reservation was cancelled, and we would receive a refund as they had no driver for Brooklyn pick up.  I was furious as I let them know they should have sent me an email or called and informed us of the cancellation.  Of course, for some reason my app for Uber didn't work and we ended up taking a taxi to LaGuardia.  The taxi drivers make up their own prices but we had no choice as our plane was at 1 p.m. and we were the last ones called to leave the ship.

Now Carmel is trying to send me a discount on a future booking, but I will never use that company again. This is just a warning.

  8. We are Phyllis and Lou from Wilmette, Illinois, cruising with my BIL and SIL  on Enchanted Princess October 1 out of Brooklyn.  We have cruised many times out of Florida and Europe but have never done a New England cruise and are looking forward to it.  Could anyone suggest hotels in Brooklyn that we should stay night before cruise.

    Thanks for your help.

  9. Thank you for your recommendation for Hotel Savoia & Jolanda.  We will most likely book 3 rooms there but am waiting for our booking date to open up.  We will not be there to next April.  I did email the hotel to ask when bookings open up for April 2023.

  10. Spain Day Tours notified me that there is not enough participants for a small group tour in Alicante March 31, Palma April 1 or Malaga March 30.  We can either book a private tour with them, book an Oceania tour or find another tour guide.

We are leaving on the transatlantic cruise from Miami to Barcelona on March 18 on the Riveria.

I always refer to cruise critic for any tour guides and have never been disappointed.  Does anyone have any suggestions for tour guides or tours in the above mentioned ports.

    Thanks for your help.

  11. Hi everyone,

We are on the transatlantic cruise from Miami to Barcelona leaving March 18. There are 4 people in my group.  Spain Day Tours notified me that there are not enough participants for a small group tour in either Malaga, Palma or Alicante.  We can either do a private tour, book with Oceania or a suggestion I have received is Tour by Locals.  I will look into all those options.

Does anyone have any tour guides they can recommend in any of the above mentioned ports of call.  I usually get all my private tour guide recommendations from Cruise Critic Forum.

Thanking you in advance for any recommedations.

  12. Thanks so much for the information. Casino doesn’t sound too big but we will survive.  Sure there’s a way they will be getting my money.

We enjoy playing three card poker. Hope that there will be some video poker machines.

Looking forward to our cruise March 18th.

    Enjoy your trip.

  13. Hi everyone,

We will be on the Riveria for the transatlantic cruise from March 18 until April 4 and always frequent any casinos.

For any casino players, what table games do they have on the Riveria and what's the minimum - $10 is okay but not $25.00.

    Are there video poker machines?

    Thanks.
