My daughter and I both were quarantined for 24 hours with suspected noro when we were on the Oasis 5/10. Royal gave us a a letter that says we get a day compensation each in the form of a future cruise credit. They had a few cases the week of our sailing and our room attendant said she was ill the week prior too.

No, were in a jr suite (THANK HEAVENS!!!! WITH ALL THAT ISOLATION!!!) deck 6. When my daughter got sick she had to go to medical but when I got sick a nurse and a security guard came 3x!

Whew. Didn't need the reservation but a huge THANK YOU anyway. Flew home yesterday and got home without any drama.

I did just now reserve the hyatt in plantation. I am hoping to be on my plane but just in case wanted a backup plan. I really appreciate the emails and help and am grateful. :-)

Thanks to each one you for replying. Springhill has no rooms with 2 beds available. Any other ideas?

Daughter(23) got sick after our Labadee Malfini excursion. She was isolated for 24 hours. I got sick yesterday. Btw, I am a germaphobe of epic proportions and take every possible precaution known to science. It is not an exaggeration to say this has been the worst cruise for us. Anyway, I need a favor. The internet is so slow and I am having trouble searching for a hotel around the cruise port that has a late (6pm) cancelation policy. I would like to have a reservation just in case we cannot fly home due to this bug. Hopefully we will be well by then because I really want to go home!

They wore their "tails" during the lifeboat drill on the Freedom of the Seas. I did a cartoon like double-take when I saw a woman at the drill with a TAIL. Come to find out from my young adult children....this...is...ahem...a...thing...adults...enjoy...ahem...:o

Great read! :D

We are flying into Hobby the day before. Rented a full size car from Thrifty with taxes $280. We use the Lighthouse cruise and Park. We are not at the mercy of someone else for transportation.

I am doing the same thing. I got a 9 day rental via Budget at Hobby for $260 and will pay $50 for parking. Ridiculous that there aren't one way car rentals though.

Google has been my search of choice with these boards. Other message boards have the google search as default.:D

We stayed two nights near the FQ prior to our 1/11/14 cruise. The cab from airport was about $35 and taxi stand was conveniently located right outside baggage. The cab had a credit card machine but it was "broken" so have cash handy.;) Had a great time being a tourist in N.O. and cruise day drop off at the terminal was easy. We did the New Orleans tour with airport drop-off post cruise since our flight didn't leave until 2:30 pm. I enjoyed that MUCH more than I thought I would as I generally don't like big bus and cruise pax extravaganzas much. New Orleans was a great cruise port.

Today is the first day in over two weeks that I was able to log in and access my reservation normally.
Prior to today, I was having to access via the "backdoor" route using the Countdown to Cruise link while NOT signed in.
Hope everyone elses access issues have been fixed!
Dan.
Same here. It works!:D

My cruise that leaves next week has the same issue. I can, however, open my May cruise. The workaround is go to Countdown to Crruise pull down in the Before You Cruise tab on RC. Don't log in, but just type your ressie info. Should work...

I was on RC this morning looking at my Serenade trip for next week. I did my usual search for some trips I have been watching and one of these was the Navigator 5/25. I saw the JS was priced lower than an outside. I have a next cruise deposit so I called and applied it to this cruise! The Crown and Anchor rep was surprised at the pricing too but booked it and applied my diamond discount. DING DING DING...I win! $1153 for a JS:)
Edit: I got an Arizona resident rate $582

This is the best review EVAH! You photos are just breathtaking and you now have a huge CC fan club. It is a good thing that I am going on a cruise next week because I would be booking one after seeing those pics!!!
I am sorry that there are still places you can't hold hands with your love and feel comfortable. Boo on Jamaica.

We will be in Cozumel for the 9th time this December and will be having Gerry take us to our favorite spots for the third time. This time we will only be going to the Tequila farm (to buy our favorite Mar Mix!) and on to Playa Bonita for lunch. Having been there twice before, we so look forward to the best shrimp ever! Then we will have Gerry take us to the beach for the rest of the day.
Having him take us around is so worth the cost!!
Glad you had great times! Which beach and did Gerry stay with you there or drop you off?
:)

We were in Cozumel last week on our Oasis cruise. My 21 year old daughter and I booked with Eduardo and had Leo as our driver. Had great pre trip communication with Eduardo and Leo was the BEST! We had emailed plans earlier to snorkel and swim but we were both sunburned from Labadee and Jamaica so we changed plans there with no problem.
We met Leo in the taxi area and we stopped at a big grocery store for some snacks and sodas. Leo drove us around and told us history, wildlife and facts about Cozumel. We went to San Gervasio to see the local Mayan ruins. After that we stopped at Coconuts bar for a break and toured that side of the island. We truly enjoyed his company and I would not hesitate to recommend this taxi-tour and driver!

Leo will be our driver for the day. I will report back:)

This is embarrassing:o and is a closely held secret, but I use Monistat Anti Chafing cream (the stuff you put between your legs) as a foundation primer. It is the best on the market and VERY affordable. My BFF does makeup for some very high profile clients and she's the one who told me about it. I have raging rosacea and it doesn't aggravate it. In fact it has allowed me to use products that would normally cause a flare.
I use that too.
It is the same as Smashbox Photo Finish primer and it is a well known substitute!:)
Oh, I forgot....my husband dressed up like a zombie for Halloween with full zombie makeup. He gave me a funny look when I put the Monistat "primer" on him but he thanked me later when his face stayed on all night and was easy to remove later!

Emperor9. I know that I can't change your point of view but I hope you can understand that I was the sickest GI-wise I have ever been so not just a "tummy ache". Our cruise week on the Oasis was really impacted by this illness. Royal offered the FCC. I didn't "demand" a freebie. It was an impersonal form letter they give everybody that gets their sick selves isolated by medical. Nobody asks for it...it gets slipped under your door by somebody holding hazmat tongs or something.
By comparison if I were traveling on a land vacation I would have come home early and used my always purchased travel insurance that fully covers trip interruption. (Travel career taught me that!)
