  1. I agree! I don't spend a lot of time on a balcony but, when I do use one, I want to be able to stretch out on a comfortable lounge chair. I don't want to have to fight those around the pool and noisy MUTS area for one. I go on cruises to relax, not be inconvenienced.

I have some mobility issues and have been delighted to rest on my balcony lounge. Now my DH has to elevate his leg. I'm thinking of forgoing my priority destination for needed comforts. It's been a while since I researched an alternative. Any suggestions esp early Jan?

    Many Thanks and Blessings,

  2. WOW! Thank all of you so very very much. I feel much better about our cabin, 731 which is not an aft facing location. It's starboard about four cabins to the back. Seems as I we dodged the trash, seagulls excepted of course. I thought I had read some comments about that problem.

NOTE TO SILLYJILLEY: we will see you on the Ruby Jan. 7th right?

Again thanks for such prompt and descriptive replies. Some of which I shall try to forge

  3. I noticed that the Princess selection is often the best available for the category. However value is what it means to the passenger. There is a hierarchy in how a cabin is rated by the company but the more you cruise other factors such as sunrise, nearness to D.R. or show places. For example, I like being near the library if possible.

  4. We always used Insure My Trip. Now age has upped the cost significantly. The Princess policy covers enough basics for the price. Our next cruise is Mexico. It's pretty close ref emergencies. I'm comfortable with this plan. Not sure what will work for a longer cruise.

    Blessings.

  5. Good advice. Going a bit further, you might consider a long skirt. Something like a crinkle or gauze material. Scrunches up easily. Could do for dinner with some sparkle. Good sandals instead of sneakers for a great look. Check out Allrounders as an upgrade, made by Mephisto but closer to $150.00. Of course Merrell and Tevis deserve a close look.

We did a 14 day Med cruise and loved it. Have a wonderful time.

  6. After three calls to Princess with "be with you in only 2 hours wait," I finally found how to send a post to place current booking with Princess. Also the precise information to properly identify me, my booking and agency/agent I want to transfer from ( ok...from which/whom I wish to transfer ) : )

Unfortunately all my posts, each with minor changes, are "undeliverable".. while my internet stopped working. 2+ days. I know I can try to call the revenuesupportdept@princesscruises.com phone line if I can find it, but that's Monday. I want to get this done finally as in at last

Any information or such would be great.

    Blessings

  7. They might as well include "what floor is the kitchen on"?

...if you use a rolling type of assistance.

    Be happy if you don't!

First time to try quotes.....can't wait to see if it works.

    Edit: Yea!

  8. The gardens will always be my favorite place in Victoria. We went in the evening as it was the only option. So. awesome, even and especially for my gardener DH.. Not a boring moment. Such exquisite visual drama. A building is a building but a Victoria rose (and all) is so much more.Once at any time is not enough as there are creative changes.

  9. Beware the kindly online bid agent. Went that route once with misinformation and communication gaps resulting in having to contact owner. Even though the agent was "in" the office.

I am more confident in choice A. Can you ask to contact a specific agent at A? I found that while any agent could help in hurried situations, I had one to update an check in with for most contacts.

    Blessings,

  10. So glad to get rapid information. To clear a few points, OBC was from Princess so I was indicating no loss to change. Agent is not a Commodore, The agent said she would send new paperwork. Compared with service from agents on other cruises family booked, there is zilch communication. I'm still waiting for a response to inquiry over ten days ago.

I will contact t Princess, just want to find experienced rep to take care of this quickly. Thanks for your comments.

    Blessings, Gail

  11. Made a serious miscalculation about agent's competence and now dealing with negligence. This was an agent on a Princess list for my area. Enough of sup-par service.

So what how do I deal with this. What problems will this cause ? No agency OBC, all Princess. Still do not have paperwork with room change even though Princess shows it. etc.,etc.etc. Help.

    Blessings Gail

  12. Until now,, we only used third party policies, however age has caught up and the premiums are way out of sight. For our cruise to Mexico, I opted for Princess Premium. If we were venturing beyond that I would bite the bullet and go back to TG. The cruise would have to be quite intriguing. Lucky so far, but I would not cruise without some sort of insurance.
