  1. Don't want to step on Laura's toes or anything, but I know a bunch of people were chomping at the bit for the PB schedule...John just posted it on his blog. And he also thanked Laura for what she does here:)

thanks for the posting.....any reviews on Brennan (on the Miracle)????

  2. Okay, Brad Alexander is returning to the Valor starting 1/21/2012. Doug Ross who was supposed to be there until 2/19/2012 will probably transfer ships. If I was a betting woman I would say the Victory. But I do not have confirmation on that yet, so I won't post it yet.

Also added Jarone Howard's stage name "Imani" to the listing. Meant to do that a while back, but DeDe63's post reminded me.

I'm working on the Legend and the Miracle. Hope to have news soon. If not, whoever sails on them soon I hope you will report back.

*** A note about this list: This list is compiled from reports and reviews of current cruisers and reports from the entertainers themselves. There is no guarantee of accuracy. An actual date usually means that the schedule has been confirmed by either the performer or someone inside Carnival. Schedules are subject to change. Also, this list is updated very regularly, so if it's not on the list, we probably don't know it.

I was so hoping Brad would be on the MIRACLE....:(

  3. Thanks Bob for the update on the Valor! There is some allegedly "exciting news" coming about the piano bars. John Heald promised me a heads up yesterday, but he's already fudging on that so I guess we will just have to wait.

    Where is Brad Alexander?????????

  4. I am thinking it was about $35-40.00 but to me it was well worth it. It gave us something GREAT to do for hours and of course transportation around the city and to the airport while they held our luggage. We heard about it on the ship at the end of the cruise (over a PA announcment or capers) and booked the night before or the morning we left.

  5. We booked a New Orleans excursion through Carnival which was a city tour (parks, cememtary etc) on a nice bus. We were even able to tour by ourselves for an hour or so for lunch and/or shopping. The luggage was kept underneath the bus while we toured. It was the best Pre-flight day. ususally we are jsut hanging out at the airport with our luggage...

  6. I was at playa Uva two weeks ago......overall I wasn"t that impressed. We went for beach massages but as the turned out they weren't aren't on the beach but in a stucco bldg. Massage was pleasant though.

The beach is rocky not a tropical sandy beach. More like New England beaches. To get into the water they have sandbags under water to walk on....somewhat slippery. I would strongly suggest that you wear water shoes. The bar and "dining area" was small but nice. They have a variety of 4 mexican beers there and no other choices. (no corona)

There is a $7/pp charge to get onto the beach and a $3/pp rental fee for towels if needed. The bathrooms are ok...not the cleaniest but it is the beach so we must be realistic.

The people there were very nice. There are two (?) little shops there to buy goods but nothing appealed to us.

It is approximately $10.00 to get there via taxi and they were very easy to access. Our cab driver recommedned a different beach but we had reservations for massages so we stayed with UVAs.

I did see some kayaks go out but did not indulge. They appeared to be in ok shape. There really was no crowd to speak of and very few kids...if any.

On a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 5. I think I will try someplace new next time. Hope this helps.
