Following, I'm sailing on the Gem next week. I have one question for you all is Cagney's complementary or upscale dinning. We have sailed on Royal Caribbean and Carnival. This will be our first time on NCL .
Thanks in advance

Great video . I Really enjoyed it . Love how you brought elements of family into video, really tells us the story.
I am also curious on timelapse. I am assuming this was shot with go pro. We will be sailing in a few short weeks from Manhattan. I like the idea of timelapse. I have a DSLR ,tripod and interverometer. This would involve buying software for rendering and post editing .

On the day of disembarkation i believe you will pass the statue of liberty around 530am, I preferred seeing it lit up under the dark sky!
I agree, whenever I get to New York I'm in awe of the lights / skyline at night. We live in the Boston area and don't get to New York city to often.

Hi . Im booked on the Jewel Oct 23 08 .And find this thread most helpfull . we are in cabin 7546 . From the best I can tell we are at the transition point of the forward deck 7 cabins you all have talked about and the lifeboat canopy . Last weekend i was in Boston and saw the Jewel sailaway to Canada . :) I was able to get a good look at my cabin. the railling is " L " shaped . Im hoping that ill be able to look straight down at the ocean from the forward half of balcony:rolleyes: . Anyone have any comments or ideas ?

I enjoy landscape and low light photography. Looking to get an interverometer and try my hand at DSLR timelapse sailing out of Manhattan Wednesday on Norwegian Gem. I don't own the right post editing software and post production software to pull it off, looks like I need Adobe lightroom and LrTimelapse . Any ideas? I have had success with merging images and editing with software that came from Canon. Lots of tutorials on YouTube.
