Agree with everything above. The weather can be great, or not. Our last TA was rainy and cold. My husband loves TA and I don't like them at all. You really need to enjoy shipboard activities as there are many sea days. I did attend enrichment seminars, some demonstrations but trivia, bingo, games don't interest me and there a lot of those type of activities. So if you like those type of things, you should find plenty to do.
I also enjoy reading, but can read at home quite easily.
If you enjoy ports and off ship activities, such as myself, the TA might not be the best choice.

We're vaccinated and have a cruise booked for this November. However, if masks are going to be required and excursions limited, we will cancel. We cruise to have fun and see new places, not stay on the ship or be loaded into buses with little choice to what we are going to do.

Try something else as a first cruise and get the feel of the ship, the ports, etc. We have done a number of cruises, and the last two were TA. I love to read, but honestly, these cruises were the least enjoyable I have been on. I don't particularly care for trivia, bingo and interactive games with the crew which seemed to be the "entertainment" during the day.
My husband, on the other hand, loves these cruises. He watches movies, the ocean, etc. and would go on them all the time.
There is not enough to do (for me) and I have told him I will not do another TA.
Do something fun for the first cruise and a TA later. If I had done a TA as my first cruise, I never would have cruised again.

we've been on 7 0r 8 Princess cruises on different ships and I'm glad they are continuing to change the menus. I felt the offerings were really getting "same old", "same old". I did love the parm basket and will miss the Happy Hour as it was a fun, social time.
We always eat at Anytime Dining and have never had a problem with reservations or had to wait in in long line. However, we eat late at 8:00 p.m. so that may be the reason.
Looking forward to trying some new & updated items.

Totally understand you want to see as much as possible during your time in Venice - it is an incredible place. We have been several times and doubt you will be out of the airport on this time frame which could throw your whole day off.
Just a suggestion, part of "seeing" Venice is the uniqueness of the city, the vibe, and getting lost in the streets. Stopping for a glass of wine (or whatever) and people watching. I think adhering to this schedule will be stressful and you might miss what makes this city what it is. A thought, book the three most important places on your list, perhaps the Doges Palace, Campanile and gondola through the back streets and allow some time to enjoy the city. We also have done Peggy and my husband is not an art lover; it still took more than an hour.
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our schedules (we have done the same thing) that we miss the main event - a beautiful, unique city.
Best wishes with whatever you decide to do - it will be a great experience!

We are also on the Royal October 21 cruise departing from Barcelona. We are meeting friends flying in from UK and nobody seems worried about flights, cancellations, etc. Hopefully, it settles down by then.

We don't do formal night anymore. We are always flying to ports and don't want to bring the extra clothing. Also, we live a really casual lifestyle and have no use for formal clothing - I don't even wear dresses anymore:) So we do smart casual and usually stay in our clothes; we wouldn't wear shorts and tee-shirts but have seen people wearing them after dinner. We eat late and stay up late, and noticed more casually dressed people later in the night - usually jeans and golf shirts; jeans and tops for women.

I am a 40 G - finding anything that does not feel like a straight jacket or just does not work! is a job.
OK - I did NOT want to go into this store - but I was desperate and all the stores recommended just do not have my size.
Lane Bryant - OK! I know! But they have the larger sizes in pretty styles and they actually are "engineered" for large busted women. I caught a sale where I got the second one for 50% off so paid less for two than I normally pay for one (that breaks down or does not fit) Also got a $25 coupon off for the next one.
Anyway, give them a try - at least for bras- if nothing else.

:):):):) Yes, and then throw away prior to disembarking.
Absolutely! Using them for groceries would be questionable :p

They come in really handy to store laundry and take it to the laundry room. :)

We won't be on this cruise, but saw you are from Skipton. My husband is from Bedale, I am American & we like in Texas now. Enjoy your cruise!

We are stopping in Portland UK and want to go to Weymouth. Has anyone else done this and how did you go? Taxi, bus or walk? We don't want to walk although it would be interesting!
