Trying to decide between the two....here are the "stats"
-both are Western and go to same ports
DIfferences:
Vista - 7 day with 3 sea days
Horizon - 6 day with 2 sea days
Vista - leaves out of Galveston
Horizon - leaves out of Miami
Here's the biggest difference -
Vista is about $600 more (Havana)
looking at Havana for both - either interior or balcony
Thoughts?
(We live in AZ so would have to fly to either port)

Hands down, Manny Olivera!!! We went to all his shows on the Victory in March. Hilarious! I laughed so hard I cried. If you've ever seen him, I know you can relate when I say that when he started walking in the audience, you were praying he wasn't going to stop in front of you!

Thank you for your review. DH and I will be on Victory in March.
I have three quick questions...
--Who did you use to shuttle you to Miami?
--Where did you eat dinner that night in Miami? DH uses a walker and can't walk far distances. I know we can take a cab/Uber but was just wondering.
--If your flight left FLL later in the day, what did you do after you got off the cruise?
Thank you again for your review!

We did our zipline with Princeville Ranch! Amazing!! We did the Zip and Dip. I'm terrified of heights (to the point I was almost crying!) and our guide Preston got me through it! Loved them! We are going back to Hawaii in the fall and will definitely go back to Princeville Ranch.

DH and I are sailing in a few weeks on the Inspiration. We did this same cruise two years ago and really enjoyed it - we did a ship excursion to a very nice resort in Ensenada with lunch included. Anyway, this time I'd like to go horseback riding which he has NO interest in this time. He said he'd be fine hanging out on the ship for the three hours I'd be gone.
So....have any of you every done an excursion by yourself? This excursion is very highly rated and popular. I'm a big horseback riding fan - we rode horses on Half Moon Cay which we both enjoyed.
Thoughts? :)

Loving your review! We are sailing on the Inspiration (June) and the Fantasy (October) and I can't wait to eat at Guy's Burgers (and Blue Iguana on the Fantasy).
Keep it coming! :)

Ok, this happened to me too! I was looking at cruises for June 2017 last night and then this AM it was gone. I ended up booking a different one but if it shows up, I may change it.

I'm looking at booking our POA cruise for next year. We are looking at a larger balcony on Lido deck or there is one (!) balcony on Deck 12 which has all suites.
Any thoughts?
The balcony on Deck 12 is a bit more forward.

We are looking to go on POA next summer. We are looking at a larger balcony in the front of the ship. Just sort of worried about all the "bounce" up there - will we feel everything or should we do midship?
We've sailed on POA about seven years ago and had an inside. This time we would like to splurge for a balcony. Due to some medical issues, DH has to use a rolling walker (though maybe by next year he won't need it)...so I'm looking at Deck 11 as it's close to food and pool. :)
Any thoughts? Thanks everyone!

We did Zodiac when we went a few years ago and had a BLAST!!! The "boat" was a bit scary at first (it's just a rubber raft) and you sit on the edge. But the crew was great and our boys had a blast. The snorkeling was beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Zodiac again.

We are booked on a 3-day cruise out of Long Beach in late June. We are thinking of driving to San Diego the day before the cruise and then driving up to Long Beach and parking in the garage. Does anyone have an idea of how long it will take to drive from SD to LB? I'm thinking two hours??

Thank you for your review! You sound like awesome grandparents! What memories you made for your grandchildren.

I went to Hotel Maya site, put in the corporate code and it came up with two different rates....
Carnival Cruise...rate of $139
Carnival Crew..confidential rate.
So if I book the $139, I should be ok I'm assuming since I'm NOT claiming to be a crew member NOR am I clicking for the confidential rate, but the rate of $139 which includes parking for seven days.
Whew....

Loving your review! I've always wanted to do this cruise. :D

We have! Nothing like some cookies and cold milk before bed. The BLT is delish also.
Definitely going to use room service on our upcoming Inspiration cruise next month. :)

THANK YOU CARNIVAL! So glad to have a new ship - we've always wanted to cruise the Mexican Riviera. Easy drive for us from AZ. It's a win-win for SoCal!
