  1. Thank you for the detailed explanation. We also skipped Puerto Plata and also ran out of certain food items. We have been on 12 Oceania cruises before and also found the lunch buffet was not as good as on previous voyages. This cruise was not the Oceania we are accustomed to.

  2. We just returned from a cruise on the Quest to Viet Nam and were very disappointed. This was our 4th cruise with Azamara and we booked a suite. The room and the staff were excellent and the ship was clean and well maintained. That is where the good ends and the disappointing begins. The food was way below what we experienced on previous Azamara cruises. The quality and variety were below par to say the least. There were obvious cutbacks in the selections offered and the quality of what was offered was substandard. The choices in the Main Dining room were greatly reduced and we were forced to eat in the Specialty Dining room all but 2 nights. In the Specialty Dining room the food was still not what we experienced on past cruises with Lobster that was DRY and Tough! Steak that was of lower quality than in the past and reduced selections on the menu. It was a good thing that we had a suite so we were able to eat in the Specialty Dining room as often as we would like as the Main Dining room rarely had anything I would eat. The menu was reduced to a choice of 3 main courses, one meat, one fish and one vegetarian. If you expect to keep your customers coming back, something must be done to reverse these cutbacks. As for us our next cruise is booked on Oceania where the food is far better than what we just experienced.

  3. We were told that you can not get cash from the casino for non-refundable onboard credit. Celebrity allows you to get cash back from the casino for non-refundable onboard credit as I understand it. What exactly is Azamara's policy?

  4. We were on the Caribbean cruise of December 4, 2014 that ended with an onboard fire and death of 3 people. We were subsequently interviewed on National TV, National News Radio and Newspapers about our ordeal. While in the warehouse in Saint Lucia we were given a document signed by the Vice President of Oceania that stated "we would get a 50% future cruise credit". When we got to the hotel in Miami, I asked one of Oceania's representatives what the terms of the discount were and were told that we would get 50% off what ever the price of the future cruise was even if it was a discounted price. We are now told that the discount is 50% of what we paid for the ill-fated one. This is not what we were told or what the document stated in the document. OCEANIA LIED TO US!!!!!
