Thanks for responding. At least I know it's not just me. I will have to keep checking.

Good morning. Is anyone having issues logging into the website to check on your cruise info? It tells me the password or email is invalid, but it's not. 🤔

Jeans and a shirt with collar is welcome during any casual nights in the MDR. I have been wearing jeans and a shirt with collar such as polo shirt for years on non-formal nights.
Great! Thank you for the response. That's what I was hoping for. Previous cruises through other lines is usually fine!

What about jeans with a collared shirt for men?

So they will hold a spot then if there is a deposit? That's great!
thank you for the reply!

Hi. We will be in Cozumel on a cruise the first week of December. Our ship doesn't arrive until 10am. Will we have issues getting into Mr Sanchos coming in so late?
TIA

We are coming from Chicago. The flight would arrive in SJ at 1:22pm. And yes, a direct flight.
Thank you for the advice.

How many people risk flying into San Juan on the day of the cruise? I've done it in Florida almost every time. Not sure about San Juan. It would be a direct flight.
Thanks in advance.

My best friend and I sailed out of the Manhattan terminal in February on the Gem. Drove from Michigan. Stayed at a hotel right by Times Square. We went a couple of days early because niether of us had ever been to New York. We had an amazing time. The morning of the cruise we took our car to the port, used a service that kept our car for the week, got on the ship and we were on our way from there. Had a blast. Would do it again in a heartbeat! Also, the weekend we were in NYC, the weather was in the high 40's, low 50's!! Best tourinng weather!

Thomas from St. Lucia!

The size of the Gem is perfect! Easy to navigate through.
The staff was amazing! Especially the manager at Cagney's! (I feel horrible because I can't rememeber her name :( )
Spinnaker
Bliss
Cagney's had excellent food. Ate there twice.
I would go on her again in a heartbeat!

Loved the Gem and the crew on the Gem!!!

We used Valetanywhere on our Feb 1st sailing out of Manhattan. It was great! And it only cost $185. No complaints here :)

Yes definitely get well and hope you can travel again soon and enjoy other beautiful places! And tinadago we're happy you weren't more seriously injured or worse!
Thank you :)

Sorry for your experience tinadago, I'm sure that was very scary. And yes, the undertow can be wicked when there is a sea swell and in the winter months just as anywhere else. We've seen very experienced swimmers have a tough time swimming to shore from their cats during a heavy sea swell. But generally very safe along the shore and boulders as long as you use common sense and aren't too adventurous. I'd hate to see someone miss seeing the Baths because they were scared off after reading of these isolated incidents too. But yes, be careful when among rocks and waves for sure!
Definitely don't miss the Baths.

If you can make it to the Grand Pacific dining room for breakfast....amazing Salmon benedict! Yummm!!! Only made it 3 mornings because they stop serving at 9:30 I think. Paoched eggs were done perfectly everytime!

I also had a bad experience there. Same thing, it's so beautiful you forget to watch yourself. I was in Devils bay, enjoying the warm beautiful beach...waves weren't bad. Huge wave went over my head. While trying to recover and get myself back to the beach, another hit, slamming me into one of the boulders. I couldn't recover myself. With the help of a young girl who witnessed, who also called out to her father, who also helped, they were able to get me back to the beach safely. Thank God for them. I could have easily been swept out. The under tow was very strong.

We were in 11062....great cruise! had a great time!

No you take your car to the pier and they take your keys from there and drive your car to their garage. When you come back they bring your car back to the pier.
-
Look into valetanywhere.com! They worked out great for us. Half the price of parking at the pier. And the car was nice and toasty and running. We didn't have to wait for it to warm up or scrape Windows or push snow off of it. Look it up.

$.79/minute. You are calling through the app, so warn whomever you will be calling that the call will not come from your phone number. You aren't using your actual phone program to call, but it's a web thing through the app.
I didn't try to text home. I've used iConcierge on 3 cruises, but haven't seen that option. (I haven't looked for it though.)
That's pretty cheap.
Thank you for the response :)

I read that you can make phone calls home but I wondered if anyone knows the charge. Also can you text home as well using the app...
Thank you [emoji851]

Hi. My friend and I are sailing on the Gem next Monday. We really want to carry our luggage on. When I was on the Sky last year, there was a bar that we could drop our luggage off to while we roamed the ship and waited for our cabin to be ready. Anyone ever heard this? And does the Gem have this available?
Thank you :)

Thank you all...I haven't been able to find it on their website. Glad to hear we will be able to utilize it on our trip. Does anyone know the charge to use the app to text or call home?
