So, after reading all these posts, I decided to change my Valuetrips reservation for this coming January. Turns out when I went to rebook through Hyatt directly, it was now cheaper than Valuetrips. I signed up for their member # (free) and saved 40.00. It is now guaranteed through the hotel and I advance paid so no need to worry about that expense at the last minute. Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well.

All I want to do is tie up all the loose ends for my upcoming Jan. 12th cruise. I'd like to book with Valuetrips for my hotel in Ft. Lauderdale but I'm losing my patience. Has anyone else had to wait this long for dates to open? I was under the assumption they would open in September for 2019. I'd like to save the extra money but I'm starting to get nervous about my reservation.

It looks like there are only Valuerates for April through December at the Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale. Anyone with experience booking a January cruise date? Will be staying for 2 days pre-cruise in Jan 2019. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like Hyatt Place is a hit. Am I right that there is no shuttle to the cruise terminal, just a low fee shuttle to and from the airport? What would you suggest for transportation from there to the cruise terminal? Favorite restaurants within walking distance from Hyatt Place? Thanks in advance!

Looking for recommendations for a hotel close to the port. Possibly with airport AND cruise terminal shuttle included. Staying 2 nights before the cruise. Don't want super expensive, but don't want a dump either. I looked at link posted in cruise critic for hotels in the area, but wanted personal reviews if anyone has them. Thanks!

Just cruised last Saturday, June 1st. It was 49.95 x 7 days 349.65 plus 15% gratuity. We paid 402.10 total.

Yep...still on the menu!:)
