  1. I have never had any problems with the Princess beds on the several classes of ships that we have sailed on, it is the duvet that I dislike. Either I am to warm or too cold if I remove to much of it. Problem is my wife is to cold with just a sheet and their to thin of a blanket as an alternative.

Not a lot of truth regarding Alaska.

The brand new Discovery sails the Inside Passage.

When  we first sailed with Princess out of Vancouver on the Grand Class ships they would travel through the Seymour narrows and Johnstone Strait. I woke up very early in the AM to some beautiful scenery. I am not sure Princess even takes any of their ships regardless of class these days through there? I still prefer the wraparound promenade deck and Skywalkers for Alaska, so for future cruising to that region I am looking at HAL itineraries.

Well, sort of. It's still showing a Glacier Bay still from just over 3 hours ago; which, of course is a vast improvement over the 7/22 photo of the Magnolia Bridge in Seattle that we've been looking at for the last 5 days, but still not updating every 5 minutes as advertised. Looks like, out of the 14 cams on the page, only 6 are fully operational and up-to-date: Sky, Ruby, Royal, Regal, Grand, and Emerald.

Yes, sadly I watched for awhile and saw that it wasn't refreshing the current location. Was happy for a rew moments.

Yes but it was 21-31=$25/ cabin; 32-41=$50; 42-51=$75: 52+=$100. All per cabin, not per person. It was never listed as a loyalty benefit, but was always given onboard. Very nice benefit lost.

When we finally reached the Loyalty benefit on our 21st credit both my wife and I received the $25 OBC. Her Captain Circle # is listed under her maiden last name. That was how Princess determined to distribute the benefit, we didn't ask neither decline it. I still always appreciate the Military OBC from PCL along with the stackable credit of shareholder benefit and FCC. On occasion our TA is able to add OBC for a group sailing as well.

Princess is 'messing around' with data.

Today, suddenly a cruise showed up for August that was cancelled and had (correctly) disappeared in my online Personalizer. Sheesh----I sure hope that doesn't screw up my app---which seemed to be working better for me than for many of you.... 🥴

The exact thing happened yesterday on my MC app for a long ago cancelled cruise. As stated on an earlier post that hopefully these cancelled cruises are going to be removed this weekend as they are working out these bugs.

  6. I will be traveling to PV later this month and would appreciate if there is an update on the route from the cruise port to the Malecon by the city bus? Are transfers still required? Also are dollars still accepted for fare? Or possible to make a small purchase at the local OXXO store and receive pesos in return for the bus fare?

    Thanks

I know this is an ageing thread but the only aft facing premium deluxe balcony cabins that have any cover are on Baja and Dolphin. The others are 100% uncovered. Check out this thread for really clear photos:

Thanks for the link, now I know not too expect any covered balcony on our Regal cruise on the Riviera Deck. Still looking forward to the extra space and as long as it is not raining on our New England Cruise. We will enjoy it along with my sisters for perhaps some afternoon tea as we sail away from Newport and other ports weather permitting.

Just wondering...why did you still have such an old card? 🥴

I had many of those acquired cards from the old 2 for 1 coupons booklets and then mini bar trade ins. About the same time I found I had so many of those Princess came out with the "New Grounds" cards and eventually all the (new ground) rules associated with them such as the voyage # and eventually the expiration dates on the back of some of the cards dated 2018. So I concentrated on using those up. I should have at least had a few punches done on that card but I am hoping the folks I mailed that card to (free) will be able to get a barista who recognizes it or can take it to PSD and have them validate it as being a genuine Princess Coffee Card. I know that when I was trying to use up the old Ace of Latte cards with punches some of the waiters/waitresses had never seen them so I usually just waited in line because the baristas usually had someone who recognized the card.

Do you have any friends or family that will be cruising before the expiration date of August 31st?  If not, would you be willing to send them our way?  I’ll have 3 college kids with me on an upcoming Alaskan cruise that all drink coffee.

Send me an email and I will send you my leftover coffee cards. gbrun55atgmaildotcom

We took a back to back on Regal spending a week in a mini and 15 nights is a premium deluxe balcony and enjoyed the aft facing premium much better. The mini had a tiny balcony and the extra space in the mini was no big deal with only 2 people.

On our upcoming cruise on the Regal we will be aft Premium Deluxe Balcony on the Riviera deck and it is a large balcony and looking forward to it. We have been previously on the bump out section on the Regal Deluxe Balcony on the Dolphin Deck . My opinion would be to try to select a Mini in the bump outs but I don't think I would want to be located on the Marina Deck under the SeaView or SeaWalk platforms.

Does anybody have information about Pacific Princess?

Although we have sailed on most of the Grand Class and half of the Royal Class ships we are finally scheduled to cruise on the Pacific Princess next year and looking forward to it. Last month it completed another two week drydock and I have not seen anyone post any information on any updates since that time. It would be nice if someone who has sailed on her lately would come on this board and post what they have witnessed. Perhaps the changes were minimal or technical since the previous drydock the Pacific received major cosmetic upgrades.

This would be the spousal penalty.  When I travel with my husband, only I get the credit.  When I travel with my dad and aunt, all three of us get the loyalty credit.  I was told it's because we have different last names.

That doesn't seem fair. My wife and I both received the credit for the first time on our last cruise. She uses her maiden name and I never gave it a thought as this might be the reason why we both received the credit.

  13. Like I said earlier send you emails off to the President & let her know your displeasure. She is the one who should be hearing your concerns not Customer Relations. She is the one who can have the BOGO reimplemented if she gets enough complaints.

Sent from my iPad using Forums

I sent my original thoughts/displeasure to Customer Relations on 02/27 and as of today have not received any reply other than the automated response email. So I just forwarded that email along with an additional note to Jan Swartz.

  14. As suggested, I emailed my comments to Customer Relations this morning. The important part of their response was:

"As our onboard events and offerings are always changing, Happy Hour is in the process of being phased out across the fleet while we develop new programs and promotions for your enjoyment."

In other words, "We're taking Happy Hour away and will, maybe, someday, replace it with something else. Enjoy your lesser experience in the mean time."

I also sent in my email comments about the Happy Hour removal and phase out and to boot what I thought of their Coffee Card expiration date!
