  1. Just to make you aware i went in to check my medallion app for my 24 September departure, to find

    that all my details have been wiped.. I contacted Princess who said they have a major problem with 

    the software and they will take days/weeks to solve it. this seems that to be happening unknown number of bookings. i have been told to ring back in 2 weeks, I suggest that you check your details in case it has hapenned to you

  2. Just checked prices for same grade of cabin that we have booked for2023

    and couldn't believe the price increase. Nearly £6000 p.p. dearer for a BC balcony cabin. I'm aware of fuel price increase, but it does seem rather

    excessive.

  3. Just seen the itineraries for both QM2and QV 24 world cruises and there seems no new ports and very predictable itineraries.

    We are booked on QV 23 wc and with the uncertainties regarding port covid problems, we are thinking of moving to 2024, but bearing in mind 

    the special events that they mention will be happening, we will probably stay where we are. 

    What are your thoughts?

  4. Not impressed with Cunard regarding FCC. We have had several cruises cancelled including

    QM2 2020 world cruise which terminated in Freemantle.

    We decided to book 2023 world cruise on QV and before confirming, I asked both travel and Cunard

    how much I had. Every time it was confirmed the same figure.

    I went ahead with booking and received invoice from Cunard showing FCC amount as confirmed.

    I then received another invoice 6 months later with no explanation letter reducing our FCC by 50%.

    After several heated discussions, Cunard admitted that they miscalculated hundreds of customer

    FCC's by many £thousands ,but would not honour their mistakes.

    So much for customer care.

     

  5. Have just received a revised account for our QV 23 world cruise. Can't believe what they have done. Before booking I checked with Cunard 

    to confirm how much FCC we have from our 5 cancelled cruises and QM2 terminated 2020 world cruise. They confirmed we had 

    £36062.06. I received invoice from Cunard confirming our QV world cruise and full FCC deducted on 17 June 2021. Today out of the blue

    we received a revised invoice saying that we now have a balance due totalling £16020.00. No apology. 

    Spent 2 hours trying to get through to Cunard,eventually spoke to Cunard and they couldn't explain what's happened and have had to pass it to admin manager for checking and they will ring me. 

    We are extremely shocked and angry at the way Cunard just sent invoice with no explaination. Customer service I don't think so!!!

    Has anyone else have this happen to them? Will keep you updated once Cunard ring me back.

  6. Relaxing now after the chaos at Southampton. We followed through all the requirements required by Princess

    only to be told that we need to complete the PLF before boarding. We explained to staff that this has to be done 48 hours before

    our return to U.K. They ignored this information and told us sit down and book test or you will not be going. There attitude was apalling

    and they turned and walked away. When elderly requested help they said you have to go on line or you won't be going. This resulted in absolute pandimoniam with people trying to get online and when we finally got on it would not let you book date. We explained this to staff, but they said find a sight that will you do it and then turned and walked away. We finally found a Princess staff member and when we explained situation, she said we are correct and an email was sent to every passenger explains procedure. The port staff were not happy and we decided not to sit and wait. We joined check in queue and after nearly 3 hours finally  we were able to board. The whole process was a mess and we witnessed several heated exchanges with staff just turning their backs and walking away. I've read similar situations with other cruise lines using Southampton. We are now having a great time and Princess staff are great. This experience has put me off booking any more short cruises until we don't have to go through this again

  7. Like most people on 2020 QM2 world cruise and then 3 cancelled bookings, we have plenty of FCC's. 

    We have booked QV half world cruise Sydney to Southampton for March 2022 and then 11 July 21 QV Round Britain and Iceland cruise.

    We are hoping that both cruises will go ahead but not confident about

    July one.

    Our daughter who lives in Sydney says that the government are considering keeping their borders closed into 2022. Luckily we have

    our flights are being arranged by Cunard, so if we can't fly in, then we will

    be left with loads of FCC to spend and we will look at 2023 world cruise.

    Lets hope that vaccines will be the saviour of cruising.

  8. Now that P & O has just announced its cancellation of Arcadia world cruise and Aurora South American Adventure cruise

    how long before Cunard follow suit. 

    There have several people I know who have already jumped ship and moved to 2022.

    I can imagine there will be a scramble to get on 2022 cruises, but looking at availability, there seems to be very little accommodation 

    left and prices have increased. 

    Luckily we are on 2022 QV world cruise after being on 2020 QM2 world cruise that was terminated in Freemantle.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

  9. We are booked on  full QM2 world cruise departing Southampton 10 January 2020.

    last 2 years we have done full South American cruise and Southampton to Adelaide on both Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth and had fantastic times on both ships.

    We need to look at excursions soon but as we have done most ports before we need to do something different. It will be a lovely cruise on a lovely ship.

  10. Received our account on morning of departure and when checked they had added $96.00 for tips, even though we took them off at start. We were on for 36 days on QE. I emailed them and received no reply. Next phone, promised refund didn't arrived. Rang a second time no apology, just said waiting for copy from ship. Told them to check and surprise , surprise it was sitting on file showing cost. They then said it would take about 10-14 days to be processed. Not happy , I then said I have another booking, would they put refund on as OBC. To my surprise they said no problem and it was done immediately. It's funny that if they have to refund it takes aggravation and time, but keeping it in house attitude and speed changes.

  11. We have booked back to back cruise on QV. 4 nights then 75 nights departing 3rd January 2018 .

    We wish to spend day in Southampton to do some shopping but not sure if we will have to check in for 2nd cruise or can we just get new cards from reception.

    The only problem is that on 2nd cruise we have to show Yellow Fever certificates.

    Really don't want to go through 2 check ins.

    Any ideas?
