  1. We're also thinking of going on the Anthem in February. We were just on the Anthem last month, and after the cruise, I thought it would be a good cruise to go on during the winter months.

There's plenty to do all around the ship while it's at sea.

There is the Solarium pool as well as the indoor pool to enjoy during the cold sea days.

I think it'll be a good cruise in February. Would it be as good as a July cruise??? That's the big question!!!

  2. I was on the fence about going, but it was nice to get off the ship for a few hours. Only $7 per person round-trip to take the boat, and $25 for the two chairs and drinks... It was worth the time off the ship. Plus, it's good to get away from the buffets for a few hours!!!

And there are great seashells to collect as well. They're tiny but very cool! Not much to see in terms of snorkeling though!

  3. Jeff, meet my husband let’s call him Eliot. Eliot is an engineer who lives, and loves spreadsheets. Creates one every time to justify us not buying drink package, I smile, listen like I care, nod my head vigorously, agree wholeheartedly, purchase package for both of us and we enjoy our cruises without having him have to order another Long Island Ice Tea in order to maximize dollar value equaling alcohol content. Been going on for 2 decades....
    Spreadsheets??? I like spreadsheets!!

I agree with your husband... And my wife can relate to the pretending to listen!! :-D

I'm glad I signed up for the package, and I'm going to make it my mission to get my money's worth!!

  4. Popeye becomes confused when thread is told in 3rd person.

Popeye (like Jimmy on Seinfeld is getting angry).

In all seriousness I'm going on Symphony next May and I haven't been on a cruise since 2003. What other options are there to drink for "free" if you do not buy a drink package (alcohol or not)? I'm staying in a Grand Suite so I know I can get drinks for "free" in the Suite area during happy hour. But can I still get coffee and other non sugary drinks for "free" elsewhere? I know you have to pay for places like Starbucks (but I hate their coffee anyhow and only go into one to use the bathroom without buying anything).

    GEORGE IS GETTIN' UPSET!!

  5. Op do what you think is best for your kids! I personally like the scare tactics. It kept me safe when I was a teen. I was afraid I would disappoint my parents. And the old tape on the door trick Is great too.

I believe in trusting your kids to a point. But I also believed it was my job to keep them safe. And they needed to earn and keep that trust. Your kids may meet a new friend on the cruise who could influence them to do something they might not do at home.

Don’t let your guard down on vacation.

    Couldn't agree more!!

We're all going to be up late, so there's very little reason to try anything stupid!!

  6. And there was me thinking that this thread was about footwear.

In all seriousness I don't think that unless things have changed you will be able to make multiple bookings for one show.

Should one be cancelled for whatever reason they will probably re book you later on the cruise.

The ice shows are definitely worth seeing.

The current shoes are the right one and the left one!!! [emoji3]
