Does HAL still offer daily unlimited laundry service for the entire cruise at one price rather than paying by the bag? When we used this before, it was a God-send, especially on our 10+ day extended cruises? We will be on the Oosterdam in November.

WLHyatt, thank you. When I looked at the pictures in the link above, I saw no gluten-free options. We follow that protocol when in the MDR, so this makes perfect sense - thanks for the reminder.

On other lines we have been able to request daily laundry service for one trip price. Does Carnival offer this service?

Thank you, JaneyLynn, do you know if they have any gluten-free 'pasta'? My wife is gluten-sensitive, but can do a little, if she has to.

Hello, 1st time on the Dream. Where is the best place to eat lunch after boarding the ship on embarkation day? Any help will be appreciated.

Sticks and stones. Say what you want. A friend of mine has used that same multi-outlet for the last 10 years, over 40 cruises, and has had zero problems.
Have a nice day.
I thought so, too, until the night I got called out of the main dining room to meet with the ship's chief of security and the fire captain. It seems that my power strip with surge protector shorted out and caught fire in my cabin. After the stern lecture about the dangers of fires at sea, a new desk top being installed at our next port stop and the $300+ charge to my on-board account, I became a believer!

Curious why you need laundry done daily?
When you are on an extended trip, its nice not to have to come home to loads of wash - too much 'back to reality', too soon, I guess. Thanks for asking.

Thanks, everyone.

On other cruise lines we have purchased a daily laundry package - inventory your items , stuff the bag and your ditties are washed, folded and delivered the next day. Does the Dream offer this purchased service?
Thank you for any information.

Could someone please tell me what time they have the live music in the Atrium on the Dream? I thoroughly enjoy dancing there and want to schedule my dinner time around it! Thank you so very much!
This is our first time on the Dream. How many other dance floors are there and where are they? Which ones are best? How danceable are they? Last month's NCL Dawn had only one floor which was sticky - what a joke! We danced on the carpet.
Any dance information that you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ken,
You are absolutely correct. If there is a problem, let them know, i.e., the beds not together, a used robe, etc. They can't fix what they don't know about. Be assertive if the cabin steward doesn't "understand" English. He understands more than you know. Call the front desk or the Hotel Manager. From reading these boards, you know our expectations. You should have the same. From what I can see from these boards, we have HIGH expectations. Some things are easily corrected, some take a little more "assertiveness". Within reason, they will be very accommodating, especially, if you have a smile in your voice with the request.
On our first modern-day cruise on the Zaandam we had a Mini-Suite above or below (can't remember which) the Ocean Bar. Our cabin was filled with great combo music each night. Close to the end of the voyage, I was asked about our experience and commented that everything was great with the exception of the unexpected music. What a surprise, when we settled our account, to find a $100 credit:D applied to our stateroom and a comment back that the issue would be addressed during the next drydock! Totally unexpected and it has made us really love returning to the Dam ships as often as we can.

Thank you to all. It will be nice to take clean clothes home after our 15 night Panama Canal cruise - delays the doldrums of getting back to 'normal'.
