Hi,
Glad you had a great time. Where did you stay in NO? Do you recommend it and what was the taxi fare (airport/taxis)?
Thanks!
-
Do you mind sharing the name of the apartment? We will be heading down a couple days early in April and this sounds like a great idea.

I just received my bonus card and I ordered Monday around 3 pm EST

Just go to Trip Advisor. You can pull up a map of Old San Juan and have it show you hotels, restaurants, whatever you want to filter in or out of the map.
Check the "bidding" thread that is stuck at the top of the board. I got the Sheraton for 2 nights last November for around $130/night + taxes + fees.
Ask the people on your Roll Call where they're staying. Many people arrive in San Juan a day or two early, so they should be able to give you recommendations.
Thanks so much!

Looking for a clean, close to port with a shuttle hotel for 1 night December 3. There will b 2 adults & 1 child arriving around 9 pm. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out. We will be boarding the Caribbean princess December 4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Hi all-
I can't seem to get a clear view of hotels close to the port. We will be arriving in April '15 and would like to book early. Last time we stayed at sheraton old San Juan but its about $300 a night this year. A bit more than I wanna pay. So, can someone help me with hotels in old San Juan?

We have a rep from the fulfillment company talking to the rep from Carnival Esolutions... Holding the phones next to each other! Stay tuned!!
If nothing else, this is quite entertaining! Yeah almost like pier runners!

I booked my repositioning cruise September '13 for August '14. My cabin has gone up $1932.78 (I just checked). About 65% so im not looking for any OBC. Im ok with what I paid. Btw its a 13 day....

I've had that happen. The price of the cruise fell below the amount set to qualify for the OBC from the TA.

Was going to stay at El Convento prior to our cruise, but flights (using freebie vouchers) had already filled within one day of the airline posting their April flights. I ended up having to book flying in on a Wed (cruise leaves Sat nite) -- not that I mind having three days in San Juan! :D
Since El C is so pricey, I went on Hotwire and Priceline. I found an offer on Hotwire for an unnamed hotel in OSJ that I suspected was the Sheraton -- for $89/night. So I went on Priceline, and bid $79 zone 8 - but was rejected. My second (and winning) bid was:
Site: Priceline
Hotel: Sheraton OSJ
Rating: 3.5*
Winning bid: $81/night
Areas: Zone 8 (SJ) and 2 (Cabo rojo, which only has 1 & 2* hotels)
Cost: 3 nites @$81 = 258
$5/nite travel refund/insurance $ 15
tax/fees $37
total $ 295 (which is what we would have paid for only one night at El Convento!)
FWIW... I read somewhere on betterbidding that a frequent bidder always had success when he bid $1 more than a number divisible by 10. Hope this helps.
What days did you book?

I'm having a hard time getting on biddingfortravel so I will ask you. Did you add Mayaguez because they don't have any of those choices? TY
Yes, that's why I added it. That way you can increase your bid a little but, still only end up with the area you want.

Thanks!!!
It was 3.5 stars. Amenities were Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi-Speed Internet, and Tennis Nearby. -
Just booked one night post-cruise Sheraton Old San Juan last night. I was pretty confident that the hotel would be the Sheraton and it was. I didn't want to risk Priceline so I settled on Hotwire. Sheraton's location seems ideal right near the port; no taxi cost.
What were the symbols to identify the Sheraton? I would like to try for 1 night post cruise...

Thanks a lot! Breast cancer awareness is personal to me now. Remember early in my review, I said we had 2 sudden deaths in the family? Well one of those was in June and from breast cancer. One of my relatives waited until she was 49 to get her first mammogram. By the time she did, there was a lump and it was very far advanced. That was in November, and she passed in June. No one in the family even knew she was sick. She didn't want that burden on us, so she hid it. I found out on a Wednesday, and Sunday she was gone. Ladies, please take care of your bodies! Do monthly exams and get your mammograms!!!
If you cruise with me, you WILL have a good time! My mom really enjoyed herself. She doesn't get out much, so this was a really big deal for her. Now everyone back home wants to take a cruise! I have one booked for February, but I'm working on a bigger one for any family and friends that are able to go. On my next cruise, I promise to try another dessert, but I will still have my chocolate cake. :D
This review is GREAT...you have such a wonderful spirit!!! Were going on the Imagination in February doing my first B2B
Thanks, for the review it's like I'm there!
