  1. We just got off the Oasis and traveled with a group of 37. We had four tables right by each other. It took a few attempts though to get everything right, so double and triple check. We took care of it beforehand through our Group Specialist but some of our table assignments were wrong when we got our card at check-in. A few people visited the dining room when they got onboard and thought they had fixed everything, but when we got to dinner that night, things still weren't right. It was a little awkward for a few minutes but eventually the waitstaff brought out a bigger table and things did get fixed.

  2. We are on the Oasis next week and I'm just trying to get my texting information straight. I think we've decided not to purchase the wifi package, but just pay 50 cents for the occasional text. What settings should I set on my phone so I'm not paying for other data, likes apps automatically updating? I have an iPhone and am with AT&T.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Thanks for the review! We sail on Saturday :) Our first time on the Oasis and we are so excited!

What show is the ABBA tribute group in?

Also, we are sailing with a large group and want to hang out together on the pool deck. Is there an area on the pool deck that isn't as crowded as other areas? We'll get up early, but not 6am!

    Thanks!

  4. No reservations necessary for the Central Park tour, it's offered twice at 9:30 am on Day 2 and I think Day 5. I went to the one on Day 2. You meet in front of the Coach store...it is listed in the Compass.

We didn't make any reservations at lunch for Sabor. I'm not sure about dinner. The food is a la carte but is very good. There are specialty margaritas, they are $10-12 so it could get expensive if you don't have the drink package but they have all the tequilas under the sun and they are good.

    Yum!! Thank you!

  5. Last post -- promise --

Service was sporadic.. At Giovanni's the first night, Juliette was awesome! She was friendly, we never had to ask for anything, and she made sure that we had everything we needed. On our second visit to Giovanni's, our server greeted us by saying "I guess I'm server, would you like the $6.95 bottled water?" He never cleared glasses or plates from the table until we requested. In the MDR, on the second formal night, I saw a gentleman cutting out the lobster for his wife --which is usually something that the wait staff does. On our table, Roel did it for me but not my sister. ODD...

Dress: We like to dress up for dinner, but noticed that even on formal night in the MDR, there were people with jeans and caps as well as tuxes.

This time I went to a few things I don't normally attend -- the Central Park tour was fascinating -- I would recommend it to everyone. The behind the stage tour with the stars was very informative. AND we won in trivia... what else can you ask for?

It all comes to an end -- it is in the 20's back home. Wish I was on the ship again :) Until next time

Great review! Do you make a reservation ahead of time for the Central Park tour? And do you need a reservation for Sabor for lunch or dinner?

    Thanks!

  6. I sailed on Oasis last week, the comedy club had 2 comedians who did the same act every night and show. I can't remember for sure but I think I read it in the compass that royal carribean even says its the same show so people don't go more than once and be disappointed or take up a seat. Definitely worth seeing though as both comedians were good, I had reservations for the 11:59 showing too but went in the standby line for the 1030 and was able to get in. Worth a try if you don't want to wait till midnight.

That's good to know! I've heard the comedy shows are great and I definitely don't want to miss them.
