generally the answer is no, but yes if the other person is your spouse or someone living in the same house (life partner)

Explorer has the Tavern. It replaced the Aquarium Bar. For Voyager class ships Boleros is only on the Navigator and Mariner.
The music played there varied
thank you, I saw that it had been changed to the Tavern and was hoping it was still a latin venue. It's all good, I like it there because it's a good place to people watch

I see that the bolero's is gone from the explorer, is there still latin music played there ?

I would use Cosol, Ambrose stuck use in a taxi and still charged full price. Worst company I have ever dealt with

Just an FYI for those that are not aware.........if you wait to buy your Beverage Package on the ship, they offer a 30% discount to D+ members. I was not aware of this and purchased a package for my husband before we sailed. When I got onboard I saw the discount offer. I went to Guest Relations and was told that they would review my request and get back to me. I got a call the next day telling me that they would not be able to give me the discount. I called C & A today, explained my dilemma, was transferred to Post Cruise and they took care of it for me. I'll be looking for a credit of $96 on my credit card. It pays to dig deeper.
wow, thanks for posting this. I will for sure wait until I board

I heard that size doesn't matter.
hahaha, it does, bigger the better !
-
I did, but it can get very hot with little air movement on the central park balconies

It is cheesy, campy, and over the top, but so much fun. You really get to interact with the actors and get to ask them questions. People who guess correctly have their names put into a hat to win a basket of prizes. It is an enjoyable evening with a fixed menu, choice of two or three entrees, and unlimited wine.
This is the perfect description of what goes on. unlimited wine gets people into it, I have done it six times on various ships and it is always fun.

We're dong Thanksgiving on Freedom this year. I was wondering about the meal as well. Good to know not to get our hopes up. Seeing as we usually have fried turkey, my grandmother's dressing (which NO ONE can hold a candle to) and dirty rice on Thanksgiving, I'm sure we'd be let down. LOL!!!
I want to eat at your grandma's house

Oh I agree. The food in the MDR is no better than McDonalds or a soup kitchen. I often return to my cabin to weep for hours at the fact that all I have is shrimp cocktail, lobster, filet steak.
Being forced to go on these holidays is the bane of my life. If only I could go to Disneyland or Dollyworld.
Love this ! and love the UK by the way, wish the airfare wasn't so much now:(

I would NEVER use the word VERY GOOD to rate the food in the main dining room. It like saying Sizzler or Outback is as good as Mastro's or Morton's.
Everybody has there own taste.
RC lovers always bash you when you state your opinion.
If I spend the mney for a Owners Suite, which Ialways do, I don't mind spending the extra money for the speciality restaurants.
HaHaHa, this is a mass market cruise line, they do a pretty good job with the food. I also spend the "mney" in specialty restaurants, but still enjoy the MDR.

On my upcoming cruise on Allure I'm eating one dinner in main dining room.I find the food in the main dining room a step above cafeteria food. I don't understand that RC can't get the main dining food better. It is usually served cold and lacks flavor, maybe it's a cheaper grade of beef, fish and veal.
After 30 cruises with RCCL, I have never been served a cold meal. If I was, I would simply send it back, big deal. The MDR food is very good.

If you wait until after the sale, it will be cheaper. I booked the 8day sailing in an E1 balcony for $1200pp, the same as we paid for the Oasis when it was new. I am happy with that and will only recheck for reductions over time to maybe get OBC. If you just don't feel right with $1500pp, you can always cancel and rebook when the price feels better to you. I personally would not replace the Anthem with two shorter cruises, generally you get what you pay for
-
All I can say is that on the Serenade a few weeks ago, house vodka and grapefruit juice was $14. Good luck with that RCCL

As a D+ RCCL person, I think I would consider the new ship. The new prices for cruise fares and drinks are a consideration now. Seems a bit crazy what RCCL has been doing the last year or so.
-
not in a million years

I think that is a ridiculous price for such a drink.
It was ! I remember it clearly because it was at the schooner bar, just before 8pm., my wife went to the bar from the restaurant to get a drink that was loaded on the seapass card (diamond). Instead of a "0" balance, it showed $14 and change. The charge was later reversed because it was before 8pm, but I could not believe they would charge that ?
-
Serenade two weeks ago a vodka and grapefruit juice was $14 including the 18% tip
-
we just got off the serenade and when I read this post I realized, I don't think I saw a single server out on any deck.

Those of you who have had lunch at Giovanni's on Allure, did you make reservations ahead of time?
I have done lunch on embarkation day and did make reservations, but others just walked in. Lunch there is great, especially on the first day if you have been on the ship before. If not, there is a lot to explore on that first day ?
-
don't book, wait until the "sale" is over
-
I am right there with you ! Been waiting a long time now to book the Oasis, but this stupid double the price sale will never end.
-
that gravy is perfect ! would be even better over chicken fried steak
