Yes, Uno and some other card games, including a deck of cards, will be in the suitcase. I like the idea of only packing the pieces in a ziploc and not the actual box. I may buy a couple of new dice games too. We do use the game time to chat with our kids, so I agree that this will be something good for our family to pack. Thanks for all the ideas!

I just checked my card balance, and Carnival refunded a small portion of what we paid. I was not contacted, but I am glad to have the refund all the same since part of the shore excursion was cut out since my booking!

Yes, good thoughts. I was going to bring some travel dice and card games. That's a great idea about leaving them behind.

I have a family with children in elementary school and we love to play board games! We are sailing for the first time on the Magic, and wondered what board games they had stocked in the library. I am wondering if I should invest in some travel games because we love to play games!
Thanks!

I finally got a response. I actually got three responses. One was more information regarding the shore excursion than what you get on the website. Another was confirming that the shore excursion changed. The last was a message letting me know that they were going to have to research this change that occurred after booking and would get back to me. I will update if I get anywhere with the final response about researching my concern.

Thank you so much for the leads. I will try emailing the shore excursion email address. Thanks!

I have booked an excursion for my family for our upcoming Carnival Cruise. Since booking the excursion 2 months ago, the description and title have changed. I booked a dolphin and stingray experience, but now the stingrays have been removed from the title and description. The price is still the same.
My concern is that I have tried contacting the shore excursion team through the website contact form twice over the past week. I have not had a response. Since I am new to Carnival, I don't have any status or clout. Are the stingrays removed from my shore excursion? If so, I think that I should be given a discount.
What would be the best way to contact the cruise line to get this question resolved?

HEB on 96 at Shore Shore Blvd has a good selection and samples offered of select wines most times of the day. I usually have help there picking out wine from a sommelier-like employee. Kroger on 96 across from the HEB is competing now with a bigger wine selection and their own sommelier-like employee. I haven't noticed samples. Specs would have a larger selection, but the prices were higher last time I went in. We usually buy wine from the HEB at 96 and South Shore. It has a nice department.

The only time we fly using Hobby is if we are using Southwest. United, American, etc. is better into IAH.

I don't recall them offering snorkeling equipment but we never asked either. As for the shower, there is a hose available outside to rinse sand off before entering the house or heading back to the ship, but I don't recall a full shower.
Thanks, good to know!

We booked this excursion as well for November. We will have us and two children 7 and 5. We are very excited, and we have heard so many awesome things about this excursion. I wondered if they had snorkel equipment available, or would it be better to bring your own? My kids would probably just be sticking their heads in the water and would not know good snorkeling. Is there a shower in the house that is available? Thanks!

I figured that is what would happen. Thanks for your response.

After taking a long break from cruising...we decided to place a hold on a family cruise. We are thinking of the Carnival Magic out of Galveston over Thanksgiving Break. Do you think that Camp Ocean will enforce the age divisions? I have a DD and DS that are aged 5 1/2 and 71/2 at the time of sailing. Would they let my children be together?

I don't remember the wines but there were two red and two white. Also a dessert wine and you got to keep the glass. All were moderately priced and pretty mild. They also have a second wine tasting for $25 pp and they were supposed to use the high priced wines for that one. They will be selling it all over on the first day and can tell you the wines that will be sampled.
*Thanks*

We also did the first wine tasting for 9.50 per person and had a great time. Lots of fun and very informative. Would recommend this.
Would you happen to remember any of the wines that were sampled? About how many were sampled?
Thanks!

I misspoke in my op. My husband and I have been on several cruises. This is the first time with the kids and the first time on the Magic. Thanks!
