I had read that at least one other boat had been hit, which was why I was so surprised that the itinerary continued.

I can’t follow this progression.
She was moving again.
you confirm you can “see her sailing right now”
and then “now back in port in PPT.
Did she sail sail out and then return??
Yes can confirm! She was sailing into port PPT- according to website marine traffic, she departed PPT at 10:30 this morning and returned to PPT a bit after 3pm. I must have just so happened to see her before she entered the harbor.

you can see her path today on that site

I’m sitting on my deck in Moorea and can see her sailing right now .
No idea what happened to this week’s itinerary .
and now back in port in PPT.

Thank you for the suggestion!
I knew about the current in the pass but was unaware that the ship anchored in an area affected by the currents. Your enthusiastic review has been such fun to read as we get ready.
-
Thank you- I don't know if they "never" anchor since the documents indicate that they are at anchor, but your other explanations seem plausible.
I will certainly ask when onboard.
-
Just received annotated cruise documents for May 20 Wind Spirit sailing and it indicates watersport for all other at anchor ports except Motu Tahaa which is a day on the Motu . But why not Rangiroa? We were planning to stay onboard and use the platform that day.
thanks

I take a napkin and wrap it on my hand to pick up a utensil.
I always do that unless on Oceania where buffet food is served to guests!

Did you arrange for a portable wifi device for use in Japan? And has it been able to receive a land based cell signal while onboard?
-
A US iPhone - will have the necessary frequency but we are wishing to connect through a portable wifi while on the ship and wonder if the ship sails close enough to land that the cell signal reaches the ship and we avoid cellular at sea rates.
Often while sailing in the Caribbean, the islands' cell signal is strong enough
-
Wondering if the ship sails close enough to shore to receive cell signal other than cellular at sea?
-
Irony here.. Perhaps they will have to rename "Aqua" class ;)

What about those of us arriving on a late morning flight the day of the cruise?
Or those arriving the day before sailing who have to check out of their hotel rooms ? Where is the no mans land to wait with luggage ?
Confused!
-
Thanks for the reassurance!
-
I am confused-- is Michael's Club a piano bar now or is it the Concierge Club as described on Celebrity's website. Just booked an oceanview guarantee today and was already placed in a cabin below Michael's Bar. have concern about noise.
thanks

I assume it is either a personal or personnel issue, neither of which would be public information. Just my opinion

Nothing wrong! Just returned with family of 7( adult kids) and all was good. There is a screen on deck by the way- no freestyle coke machine, but how could that possible affect your cruise? Ship is beautiful, service great ( except in Chops) Plenty of space to spread out-.
We usually sail Celebrity or Oceania but chose RCI for the kids and think it is fine!

Just off the Riviera in a B4- the larger veranda has room for lounge chairs ;). And while the veranda can be ovey are standing at their railing.
We loved the space and the comfort.
-
We had 2 real beach stops- and we did swim- I would bring a suit- the water was not cold last January.
-
Great tour with Woody last JAnuary- Highly recommend.

Well... if the power has been lost for the 15 or so minutes while navigating one of the tight lagoon passages, there would be much to be concerned about.
I presume that the cause of the power failure may be on the process of being examined.
