wait until your first statement is available.  It will show your portfolio.  That’s what I sent to Carnival.  Here’s the info on where to send it:

When you are ready to cruise again -- be sure to submit your request for the OBC's  at least 2 weeks prior to departure (actually 30 days would be better). Take a copy of the acknowledgement with you -- we had issues with our last HAL cruise as corporate office never got the messages.

I have 150 shares of CUK stock (100 @ $9 last week, 50 @ $8 Yesterday).  This stock is consistently around .50 - $1 cheaper than CCL going back over 52 weeks.  You get the same OBC with CUK as you do CCL and until this week, the same dividends (well actually still the same dividends, $0).

So, question for the group.  Why is anybody who is buying small amounts (like most of us in here are talking about) only talking about CCL stock?

    What is CUK ??

  3. Well, we bought 200 shares yesterday  at about $ 11 per share.  We love Holland America and plan to cruise again, hopefully,  in the very near future.  The stock market is always a "crap shoot"  -- you could wait and hope for a decline or wait and see it increase (hopefully) and still miss out as you waited too long. You need to decide on what you want to spend and whether the wait is worth it.  My motto is" early bird gets the worm"  -- do I lose sleep over missing the $  8 low >?? -- yes and no-- just feel at what I spent is "ok" with me.

  4. If you booked through a travel agent -- they should be able to contact Princess and get the best options for you -- as you are not in "final payment" time frame -- you have some "wiggle room" .  It pays to check on your cruise line's website (I do this weekly) as offers change.

  5. Was wondering if my credit card's travel insurance would be sufficient -- my husband has "pre-existing conditions" which we have purchased from Alliance insurance in the past.  Can I just insure him with Alliance and go with the credit card insurance for me ? (no health concerns for me, as yet).  Anyone's experience with credit card insurance claims would be appreciated. Thanks.

  6. Club Continental Suite 8063

Lovely large space -- balcony with table and 3 chairs

    Plenty of closets with safe

    Deep drawers for bulky items

Under the bed storage for luggage

Bathroom with shower in tub (suites with even numbers have separate shower) -- three deep shelves above toilet -- just be careful lid is closed !

Butler service was outstanding -- tea and cakes/small sandwiches served every afternoon if desired.

    Food was quite good, too.

Cons: Suite was under Window Cafe with annoying loud noises during the nite -- should have asked to be moved but ship was "sold out".

Would I book again ?? Maybe but not for the $$$ I paid. :(

  7. Cruise lines do this all the time. "It is what it is"Airfares and convenient flight schedules are not plentiful in our part of the country and that keeps us from doing "last minute" travel. Plus we are self-employed/semi-retired and still have business demands. We also book at least 6 months in advance. Did you use a travel agent ? they should be watching for the best deal for you -- although a cheaper cabin means less commission in their pocket. Hope you have a wonderful cruise, regardless.:)

  8. :confused:Your opinion please ---- am debating on lugging my laptop along for our upcoming cruise on the Quest. We have free minutes but if the logging in process and speed is slow -- won't bother. I can check with family/friends with my IPAD as well. Thanks :)

  9. :confused:I know all tips are included but what about "exceptional service" ? -- we have a CC suite with butler's services and wonder about giving some extra $$. Thanks

  10. Yes but the extra money you pay also pays for your drinks, tips and the Azamazing evening. In my experience the food on Azamara is way better than on HAL, too.

Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

Yes, that's correct --- however, those perks are available to everyone regardless of cabin catagory.

There are only 2 accessible cabins on the Quest and both were "sold and paid for" at the time I discovered the sq. footage of the original cabin.

  11. :) Personally, from info from other CC members and my TA -- balcony cabins are much smaller than compared to other cruise lines. You can find the sq. ft. on the website/cabin info but it's not easy to find. The V3 (first booking) are 175 sq. ft. with the balcony at 40 sq. ft. As my DH travels with a small scooter -- and looking at the layout of the room -- not enough space to get past the foot of the bed and it's only 18 in. wide! Would have to take scooter apart and lift over the foot of bed every time we were in there --- so NOT going there! :( So had to upgrade to a Club Continental suite which is 100 sq. ft. larger (didn't appreciate spending a LOT more $$ but don't want to listen to DH complain for 17 days !!) If you have cruised with HAL, Celebrity and RCCL -- you have less room to live in ~~~ for a LOT more money. JMO.

  12. We had a similar situation for our 10/26 trip on Quest. We has originally booked a Club Veranda V3 but decided to upgrade to a Club Continental Suite as the first cabin's layout was so small and would not accommodate my DH's scooter. Unfortunately by the time I discovered this -- the HC cabins were sold. I was charged the $ 25 pp cancellation fee but my TA called Azamara and it was "waived" as I was paying considerably more with my upgrade. Don't know if my TA put pressure on or not but I appreciated the gesture.:)

You certainly have nothing to lose by calling or having your TA look into this.

We did get a new booking #.
