  1. Onboard the Celebrity Equinox now and it is a windy day. Single court on front of ship one deck belowThe Retreat. Shares space with basketball court so there are multiple lines painted on court. The net is saggy so not sure how taut it can be made. I did not see any paddles or balls and no one was playing even though it was scheduled for open play.

  2. Of course it would have been nice to have longer at lagoon but swimming twice and the boat ride and lunch made it worthwhile. They would not let us swim over top of cenote. We could see the dark blue water where the depth changed but the tour leader would not allow my husband to swim over it.

  3. we booked the HOHO/Butterfly Conservatory tour on our Celebrity Equinox Cruise. I booked it early on the Celebrity Website during a shore excursion sale. It was a great deal. the Trolley representative was on the pier next to the ship. He exchanged our shore excursion vouchers for a sticker which we wore on our shirts and a ticket for the Butterfly Conservatory. He also gave us a brochure/map and very good directions on how to get to Stop 1 to catch the Trolley. We hopped off and on most of the day. Always one readily available and we enjoyed the Butterflies. Very nice way to explore Key West. Our sticker was Orange as opposed to the white one worn by the people who bought the tour at the port. Very professional company and I highly recommend them.

  4. We just returned from a cruise stop in Costa Maya. We booked the ship excursion from Celebrity for Bacalar 7 Color Lagoon and Lunch. It was on a nice tour bus (although the seats were a little too close together) and an hour and half bus ride. Our tour guide Maui was amazing and gave us lots of information about the area. Bacalar is a small town but the lagoon is beautiful. We went out on a boat and stopped at 2 swimming areas. The water was crystal clear with white sandy bottom and about waist deep. When we came back to the dock, we had a nice mexican lunch on the shaded patio. We made a brief photo stop at the fort in town. it was a lovely day

  5. i have the same question. We will be on the Seranade of the Seas which docks in Stockholm on June 29 and June 30. We have booked an SAS flight departing from Arlanda at 7:20am on the morning of June 30. Will we be able to get a taxi early enough from cruise terminal to make that flight. It is a nonstop to Zurich Switzerland where we catch a flight on July 1 to the USA. We are US citizens with US passports. Is it better to stay in a hotel at Arlanda airport on June 29 so we will be close to airport. Thank you

  6. We just came home from a Celebrity Summit cruise disembarking in Cape Liberty. Unfortunately we purchased the ship transfer from Cape Liberty to Times Square for $45pp. It was very disappointing. We didn't leave the pier until 11:00am because of waiting on stragglers. Supposed to leave ship at 8:30 am but immigration lines were long.

Should have taken the taxi shuttle to Times Square which was $35pp. When you exit the terminal, go right across the street and you will see vans for taxi shuttle. There was also one to EWR for $20pp.

When the ship transfer finally dropped us off at Schwartz Luggage storage, we stored our luggage for $10 per bag for the day.($2.50 per hour per bag up to $10 total for day)

We toured NYC on foot and by using subway ($3 single ride). Our flight was at 8:40pm from LGA. We took NYC airporter bus from Port Authority to LGA for $16 pp. (10% discount if you download app). Boards in front of Port Authority on 42nd Street. Everything worked great except the Celebrity transfer.

  8. We love Paradise Beach and go there every time we are in Cozumel. It has never been crowded. There are lots of beach loungers under palm trees and along the shore. The large pool has a swim up bar and plenty of lounge chairs. The restrooms are clean. There is a $2 entry fee charge and then a $10 per person food or beverage requirement for using the beach chairs. There is also an option to buy a wristband to use the water toys. Kayaking and snorkeling equipment are available for rent.

  9. We came at 9am and one of first to get here. It never got crowded today as in only about a third of chairs used so it makes me think they don’t sell out especially if you come in morning or early afternoon after some people leave. Our ship the Jewel of Seas did list Rainbow and Sandcastle as beaches to go. We were only ship in town. I asked and they said they don’t normally sell out. Really enjoyed our day here

We just realized the disadvantage of using the $12 for 2 people prepay. We have to wait on that taxi individual to come get us instead of paying the $5 taxi fare and going back to ship with any taxi. So FYI go outside gate and pay $5 to regular taxi😊

  10. I emailed them recently & got the response that they do NOT sell advanced passes. First come get them. When they’re full, they stop selling them. Would love to know which is true. We’ll be on the Jewel docking this coming Monday 🌴🛳

  11. How is the beach area after the hurricane ?

Contacted the resort and they gave me the info for day pass at the resort so I'm assuming the beach is prepared for guests ?

We are in St Croix today and are at Sandcastle Beach Resort. We walked off ship and went to taxi stand inside port area. When we asked about taxi to Sandcastle, we were directed to a stand where a girl sold round trip tickets for $12pp to Sandcastle or Rainbow Beach. We thought it was supposed to be $5 but we bought them and then she said to wait to fill up taxi but we requested they take us now and he did. It was $10 pp to enter Sandcastle which includes chair, WiFi, and fruit or punch. The entrance to the beach is rocky but you can navigate between the smooth rocks. I did not use water shoes because the sand was nice.

  12. We arrived in San Juan today on an American Airlines Flight? We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott Miramar. The sign at the Taxi Stand stated $15 to Mirarmar. We told the dispatcher we needed a taxi to Courtyard and he wrote a voucher for $20. Two of us and 2 bags I guess. Taxis were plentiful at the airport. Our ride was quick and uneventful so we were pleased. The hotel stated the taxi to the ship would be $15 plus $1 per bag.

  13. We just completed a cruise on Oasis of Seas Feb 1-8. We bought the ship excursion to Red Stripe beach for $28 pp which is a shuttle. The bus seats about 40 people and leaves from the shore excursion area at the port. You have to walk to the end of the shopping area to get to the area where all excursions leave. It is about 10 minutes to get to Red Stripe beach. When you turn off the main highway, you are on a created gravel road cut through a swamp. The beach area has several small colorful buildings-bathrooms, shops and bar. The beach has pure white sand and water is crystal clear and mild surf. The only downside is there is seagrass and seaweed which workers are continually raking off beach. They have cleared a large area which is nice sand. Chairs are $5 and in good condition. Plenty of shade from palm trees. We walked along beach and it is totally undeveloped. There are security guards protecting area. The shuttle runs continually until 3:30 so it is easy to get back to ship. Great place to spend a few hours close to ship.

  14. We just returned from the February 9 RCCL Brilliance of the Seas. We waited till the morning we arrived in Guadaloupe to book an excursion. We chose the ship excursion to St Anne's Beach. It was $28 for 4 hours including travel time. We were loaded onto a tour bus holding about 65 people and traveled bout 25 minutes to St Anne's. he parked at the market where we unloaded and were given the time to meet the bus in the same spot. The market was clean and well organized with clean toilets. There was a broad brick boardwalk along the beach to a nice sandy beach for swimming and lounging where there was another outdoor market with lots of spces and colorful wraps. Prices were in USD and Euros. Very pleasant beach.

At the pier where the ship docked there are several vendors selling spices and souvenirs. Prices are USD and Euros. Looking forward to going back again.
