  1. I forgot to post these.... On Saturday night we saw Triumph heading out to sea as we were going back. That was pretty cool! I've never seen another cruise ship while out in the middle of the ocean.

I love seeing the ship all lit up at night. It is so pretty. I loved your review. Your family is precious. I am glad y'all had a great time. We are ready to set sail on June 8. I cannot wait. Thank you again for taking the time to do a review and sharing your vacation with me. :D

  2. Is this something brand new. On the Miracle last January we got the USB drive, after purchasing the required # of pictures, but it did not have our pics on it? I do know that you can purchase, for a fee, a CD of all your pics you have purchased.

I havent cruised in a year and a half. So I'm not aware of the punch cards. So did they give you a blank USB drive?

  3. Just looking for alternative to buffet on Lido deck after boarding on Magic. Any info, please do tell!!!:)

My sister and I sailed on the Magic in 2012. I am platinum, so we boarded early. They told us if we wanted, the dining room WAS OPEN, for the first ?? so many guests. We went, it was nice. That was the first time I had ever seen the MDR open on the first day. Maybe it was just the ship being new, or a rarity, but it did happen :D

  4. Thank you tandemcruzr! I may have posted TOO many photos! :p

cruisedarling, I got those shirts on the ship! They had them 2 for $20. Not bad! Had to have the matching shirts for next time :D Have fun on your cruise in 82 days! Times doesn't go by fast enough when waiting and goes by too fast when we're not!

    Thank you!! I cannot wait!!:)

  5. March 16, 2014 - Debarkation Day :(

It was once again cloudy, gloomy, rainy, windy in Galveston. The debarkation process went smoothly and we had no problems.

It was lovely to walk across the street to our car and not have to worry about waiting for a bus. There was no one around when we got there. We just got in our car and left without ever seeing an employee from Galveston Park N Cruise. Again, this won’t stop us from parking here again because of its location, but it would be nice to see someone checking up on the cars.

This is our view of Galveston Park N Cruise from the deck right beside our stateroom! Right across from the terminal!

So I hope my review turned out ok and sorry for any typos. If there are any questions, feel free to ask! Overall I loved the ship! I would prefer to do a different itinerary next time, though, but either way it was such a fun cruise and I can’t wait until our next one!

Thank you for your review!! I really enjoyed it, and it helps me get through the next 82 days or so til I am on that MAGIC ship :D I love your shirts.. Keep Calm and Cruise On.. We always wear matching shirts for embarking:) May I ask where you got them? I would love to have them for our trip.

  6. DH and I are platinum and the past three cruises we have linked our freinds/family's cabin to our sail and sign card so that we can board together. That's the only "perk" we care about. Last cruise was June 2013 and brought my In-laws with us, no problems. Booked my daughter's B-day cruise last October, for this March and did not think criteria had changed. Thanks to this site...I found out it had. My bad for not checking but honestly didn't think I needed to. Called Carnival tonight and they were great. Moved my daughter in my cabin and put my husband in with my son-in-law. Waived the fee to make changes. Nice. :) They are going to acknowledge her Bday in a special way, Totally unsolicited. Completely happy with Carnival right now.

I am having a similar dilemna, I am platinum so I get to board early :p I am traveling with my husband and two teens who are not platinum. We have connecting cabins. I booked my husband in one and myself in one. I was just going to switch us around after boarding, so I bough FTTF for my husband and one child. Is it necessary to have 2, I am wondering if I can cancel one if I don't need it. Thank you for any insight. I am so ready to be cruising :D

  7. Any of you been to this place? What did you think of and and the overall experience? I have it booked but am kinda having cold feet. THANKS a lot for your response!

Port section is well, stagnant so posting here...

We have been to Sunset 3 times, with kids, and felt totally safe and loved it. We also saw Carnival employees walking over to the Resort. WE felt like they probably know where the good places to go are. You have to turn in your sail and sign card and pick it up at the front gate as you leave. This made us a little nervous the first time. Also there is a walk up snack bar that you can get Jerk Chicken, hamburgers, fries etc for lunch, or an inside buffet area. We went in the inside buffet area with our cover ups on but were slightly still damp, and got in trouble. :( That was a little embarassing, as we are not usually rule breakers, but didn't realize that was a problem. I am trying to attach a couple of beach pics, but have never done pics before so I apologize ahead of time if it doesn't work. Hope yall have a great time.

  8. Without a Doubt The Award Goes to:

Hugo from Peru and Budy from Indonesia on the Conquest July 09.

They worked together like clockwork, they had everything down pat. They cut up the kids food, knew what the picky ones wanted and oh did they keep us entertained. When it was time for dessert Budy would tell us it was "Time for Yummy Tummy" We still use this phrase and it brings back the memories. We would love to see them again, is there any way to know where they are now? Oh did I mention how cute Hugo was, especially when he danced at night:p
