  1. We have three connecting balcony cabins on the Caribe deck on the Caribbean Princess. Can the room stewards open the doors between the balconies and leave them open for the entire cruise?

Yes they can. We had 5 cabins a row on our Alaska cruise and our steward opened all of the balcony doors for us. It made it very easy for us to go between cabins and to enjoy the outdoors all together.

  2. My family is sailing on the Caribbean Princess next March. The plan right now is for us to fly into Hobby the day before the cruise.(We are all coming from different parts of the country and I don't want to take a chance on bad weather delaying anyone) We will take a hotel shuttle to the hotel that day and then take it back to Hobby the next morning to catch the Princess shuttle. After reading the stories about how the fog can slow everything down I am really hesitant to take a taxi/limo to the port.

  3. OP your best bet if you want to get a heavy coat is to go to REI like someone else posted. The retail stores here are like any where else no winter clothes in the summer.

I would also suggest wearing layers too. I sailed to Alaska a couple of years ago and froze with only a lightweight jacket and sweatshirt. BUT I am cold all of the time:)

    Enjoy your cruise.

  4. If you click on Renmar's site link which is part of his signature in his post above you will be able to see the view from most of the obstructed view cabins on the different classes of Princess ships.

Here is a direct link to the photo for E715 on the Golden, Grand and Star Princess.

Thank you so much for the information and the link. I think that they will be happy with their cabin.
