We are flying to Tampa from Texas the day before embarkation (October20). Anyone have suggestions on where to stay?

 

There will be 5 adults in all--2 in 60s and three in late 20s. I would like to house us in one room to save $$$. A small suite with two doubles and a sleeper sofa would be idea.

 

Also, we need to either walk to the port or have a shuttle. I guess we could take a cab also.

 

Just wondered if anyone knew a place that was great, inexpensive, and might have a shuttle to the port.

Yes, yes, and yes. Doubletree Westshore Airport is what we booked. I booked it through their website and prepaid, and it came to like $71. Since it's a Hilton brand, I'm thinking (haven't been there yet) that it will be a really nice hotel. The woman at the desk, when I called, said that they do transport from the airport and to the Port of Tampa --- she told me both are free. So ---. Everyone says that is a really good rate, so ---. But that's in September.

Wow. Thread bookmarked. We're going on Legend 9-9, and I've been waiting for one of these threads to come out because they're always so interesting. Finally --- our ship! YAY!
