The count is three...that missed the troll.
Sometimes I have to actually work during work...
Nope, 4. Your friendly neighborhood lurker here has been sick and missed it all. It was an excellent review and before the work crud hit I was having a marvelous time bouncing between this thread, Sid's review thread and Saint Greg's thread

Hopefully more people come out of the shadows... Without audience participation, this whole thing is pointless...
Hi All! Another lurker here. I've really enjoyed this thread and your reviews and also hope you continue. I have to admit I'm more than a little jealous of your extended riding season! My bike is currently sitting on a battery tender with stable in it :-(. I do have a question about your meat... How long do you cook it stove top? I usually broil or grill.

We cruised December 1st last year. The ship was decorated, the band was playing Christmas music one (that I caught) night in the Atrium and Santa came and the kids could sit on his lap. They even had snow falling in the Atrium. It was really very nice. The fun squad were wearing Christmas sweaters and a few men (and even a 10 year old boy) were wearing suits with Christmas designs on them

I've never cruised with Carnival, so pardon my ignorance on this. Do you have to reserve seating for the entertainment? I know I had to do that when I cruised on Royal last summer. Thank you in advance.
Reservations are not needed nor accepted. Have a great cruise!

I'm a first time cruiser with a couple of questions that I'm sure have been answered before so I apologize for the redundancy. Also, these aren't really important just more of being curious. We have 6pm assigned dining in the main dining room. When do we find out what table we've been assigned to? It will be on your sail and sign card.
Do I go ask the maitre d when we get on board what our table number is? Only if you want to check out your table and make changes.
Then, when it's time for dinner, do we just walk in and go to our table or do we have to wait to be seated like at a land restaurant? If you know where your table is located, yes. They seem to like to greet you on the first night to make sure you get to the right table.
I realize there'll probably be a line so we can't just walk right in, but I think you understand what I'm asking. Thanks for the info.
Have a great time!

Has anyone read these books on an eformat? Specifically, Nook? I saw some of the reviews on one of the books saying it was not readable on eformat. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.
Sorry, not Nook but I have the first three on Kindle and they're fine.

Perhaps a wine tasting event ?
They had this on my first cruise. :')

My friends heard from some Staff that they knew from the week before that one Server that worked in the Steakhouse quit the day after we ate there, so hopefully it was her!
It's private and worth every penny! You have to go directly to their website. Do NOT confuse it with Big French Key which is offered through Carnival.
Thank you!

It's so great to see two very good opinions of the ship my next cruise is on. Very happy to see you rate it so highly. A little worried about my steakhouse reservation, though lol. Hopefully I'll get a different sever. Is little French key through the cruise line or a private excursion?

So happy to hear all this! We'll be on her in Decembter!

Spring rolls, pumpkin soup, lobster bisque, creme brûlée :-)
-
It is open for breakfast on port days and brunch on sea days. Enjoy your cruise!

I'm a lurker but love and follow your reviews! It seems your reviews pop up about 6 months before my booked cruise to exactly where you've already been. A blog would be awesome but if you do need to delete I am another vote for the oldest reviews. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to each of your reviews!

I don't but have had our waiters trying to get me to order more than one lobster tail because "they're small"lol. I don't only because between the soup or salad/appetizer/entree and maybe dessert, I can't. lol

DH and I did this itinerary this past November on the Fascination and the year before that on the Liberty. With how port intensive this itinerary is I really didn't miss what wasn't there. The ship, in my opinion, was well maintained and clean.
-
I wish I knew. We'll be on her shortly after. I'm just hoping for maybe a serenity area. If not, oh well, we've been on her before and had a blast. And sometimes serenity isn't serene. lol
-
The wine is supposed to be carried on. They may have taken it thinking you were "smuggling" an extra bottle.
-
My DH was interested as well. He called Carnival and they told him he could bring it on but could not fly it from the ship, only on the islands and he would need to research the laws in the islands which is understandable.
-
Thank you for the review! I was waiting for your take on this and if it felt crowded or not after you'd posted you were going. We leave in 9 days. We did this last year on the Liberty and had so much fun we decided to do it again this year. I've been on this class ship before and loved it but this will be DH's first trip on a smaller ship and I was worried about how he would like it.
Thank you for your service and best of luck with your recovery.
