Did you book the ships tour or arrange on own ?I remember that trip. They pour a bucket of water down a hole and seconds later a blowout of steam comes out of the hole.

Thanks all for advice ,If you've not visited those places before (including Gran Canaria) my advice would be to skip tours altogether and just spend each day wandering around as a visitor. They'll all accommodate a day's activities, and if you go on a tour you'll miss that.Personal view only (I hate being herded around in tour buses) but a quick Google will give you an idea as to whether there'll be enough to keep you occupied.

HiA bit too vague, I'm afraid. Which islands/ports are you visiting? I'm assuming you want to avoid tours altogether and do your own thing - perfectly feasible?we're visiting Tenerife, Lanzarote, Grand Canadian, and La Palma,
Any info would be great thanks

Is there much to see inPuerto del a Cruz ?Every time we dock in Santa Cruz Tenerife we get a taxi to Puerto del la Cruz. They ask €150 but we always get for around €110 and the taxi drops us off for 2-3 hours in Puerto Del La Cruz then takes us back to the ship or Santa Cruz and we pay at the end.
Loro Parque is popular too.

Thanks,we are booked for freedom but won't mind set dining for ChristmasIn the evening and formal if you eat in the MDR, either club or freedom. Smart casual if in buffet and possibly in some of the select dining venues.Timings change though, from the normal club dining times and I think if you're normally in Freedom dining you have to settle for a choice of one of two set dining times, just for that day.

Ok thanksIf you book a "Freedom Fare" you select your cabin. With "Anchor fares" cabins are allocated taking into account those already booked close to the departure date. You should get a ticket with your cabin number a few days before you leave.Sent from my EVA-L09 using Forums mobile app

On my invoice it says cabin allocated on board, does this mean we won't receive luggage labels beforehand.

We have been on both Oriana and Ventura and enjoyed both. They are different ,Ventura seeming to be more lively and crowded.I believe that any cruise is what you make it .Never experienced a bad one .

does anyone know what sea days will be formal nights sailing back to Southampton from Caribbean.
It's my birthday on one of the sea days and we would like to book a restaurant but not on a formal night.
