  1. That is awesome !! Met him a few times at some of the Flyers games always very nice!

I can now say I meet an idol from my childhood on Harmony of the Seas. Many may not remember him especially if you are not from the philly area or a hockey fan, but we meet Bernie Parent, who tended goal for the Philadelphia Flyer back in the 70’s and won two Stanley Cups with the Flyers!

He was absolutely gracious and posed for pictures with several of us.

We did not want to intrude, more than we did but he was very nice and took time to indulge my fanboyism until Mrs S. dragged me away.

Pictures sent back home to family and friends who are all big fans of the Flyers and Bernie as well. Nice topping on a beautiful day!

  2. I have been looking at some cruise prices for the future the last couple of days and I noticed they are not even giving you the choice to pick refundable. it shows me prices for non refundable only. Has anyone else noticed this?

  3. Thank you so much for this wonderful review!!! We are going on this cruise on February 17! We are so excited! I have one question. I have been reading about voom and I purchased it for two devices there are 4 of us going. Has anyone ever had problems with being charged from your carrier. I guess I am worried about the wifi not working well. It will be our first time getting wifi on a cruise. Thanks for any help!

  4. I have been looking in to the Voom package as well for our upcomimg cruise. I was thinking of just getting this instead of a phone package. We really just want it for email and to check in with family back home and of course I have two teenagers that want to use it for social media etc. I have never used this before and want to make sure it would be worth it. Thanks ahead of time for your feedback! We will be on Navigator of the Seas leaving February 17 9 night cruise

  5. I typed a long reply to your inquiry ... then re-read your post. Wondering ... if you can get 8 people TO the port, why can't you get them OUT?

I just concluded a cruise from Pier 91. Getting out was a nightmare (albeit there were two ships arriving/departing on same day). Given your circumstances (8 people) I'd suggest arranging a limo service (provided the limo can handle 8 people and all your luggage). Otherwise, use two taxis.

Either way, especially if there are two ships in port at the same time, be prepared to be patient! Relax and enjoy your cruise.

Thank you for your advice. We are staying at a different hotel the night before our cruise leaves and that hotel provides shuttle service to the port. When we come back the hotel we are staying at does not provide service so I was trying to find the best and most economical way there. We are in no rush to get off the ship so I will take your advice and take our time.

  6. I was wondering the best transportation to use from Pier 91 coming in Friday June 24 to Courtyard Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square 612 2nd street. This is the last part of transportation we need to plan and I am having a hard time to figure out the best way. There are 8 of us in the party. Thank you ahead of time for any help.

  7. I am looking to upgrade to a junior suite if possible on the Adventure of the seas in February but the ones available all say obstucted view on deck 6. Does anyone know how bad the obstructed view is? We currently are in a D1 Cat. Superior Ocean View with balcony
