There's an Argentinian man who is a fused glass artist and makes beautiful jewelry inspired by the colors of the sea. His prices were very reasonable and I purchased several necklaces and earrings--some for me and a couple for gifts--and get lots of compliments when I wear them. :D

 

 

What did his prices run on the jewlery? Does anyone know? I'm thinking about going here on our upcoming cruise, but want to be sure I bring enough cash!!

On my last RCI cruise, I enjoyed the lobster bisque very much.

I think it depends on the individual chef on the ship as the soups on our RCI cruise prior to that, though the same on the menu were not nearly as good in taste.

what ship where you on?

I know that taste is subjective and that what one person may not like, another may love. But if a friend asked you what food they should avoid on their up coming cruise, what item(s) would you tell them to skip? And don't forget the cruise line. What may be bad on one, may be to die for on another. ;)

For me, on RCCL (AOS) i would have to say the Lobster Bisque in the dining room. It had a very unlobstery taste, with no lobster in sight. Was also very runny, like canned tomato soup.

Maybe being in New England has spoiled me for lobster bisque. I would be interested to know what others thought of RCCL's Lobster Bisque.

I was on the AOS on the 12.5.04 cruise and loved it. I saw staff everywhere, including the windjammer. Yes, the windjammer could be busy at times, but so is any buffet you go to in Vegas, or here at the casinos in CT. As a matter of fact the windjammer had a smaller line then the buffets at the casinos and alot more people working there.

I never experienced a dirty public bathroom on the ship. And I enjoyed my fellow passengers, regardless of where they came from. As a matter of fact we ran into people from all over.....Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Canada, Europe and other carribbean islands. Everyone was relaxing and having a good time. Unfortunalty some people define a good time differantly. I'm not talking about getting drunk and causing a scene. I'm talking about the conga line in the pool area. Seems some of the "americans" had an issue with that. Go figure.

I love Puerto Rico (we were there 9 days prior to the cruise) and the Puerto Rican people. My husband and I would go back in a heartbeat.
